I only played the single player, and it was weak. Outside of the fantastic graphics, the actual game design and lack of interactive environments were PSone generation quality. It was clearly rushed out only to serve as lip service to make it seem like EA actually listened to what fans wanted. But no, nothing of the sort.
The guy must have some incredible stamina seeing as how he won't be able to pace himself since we all know PS5 is going to sell extremely well. I have no idea how he'll be able to keep up!
Ridiculous that people flagged this as "Inappropriate." People are really upset because this game is getting average reviews? Sheesh. Its always looked like yet another generic open-world zombie game. Wasting hours of your life doing boring resource collecting and crafting.
Such an awful gameplay loop that other crap games like Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey (and plenty of others) have well worn out by now. Days Gone seems like its late to the party for ...
*facepalm*
You have no idea what free speech actually is, or what it means.
There is no such thing as free speech on a privately owned service, be it Sony's PSN, MS's XBL, Nintendo's Online, Valve's Steam, or even here on N4G.
Free speech means the government can not censor what you say, but Sony / MS / Nintendo / Valve is NOT the government, thus they do not have to abide by such rulings on their own privately-owned service.
Literally my thoughts, it just shows you how far EA and the industry as a whole have sunk, when they use non-anti-consumer practices as a marketing tactic.
I've given up on EA at this point. Which is sad because they actually used to be a great publisher.
SSX 3, Def Jam Vendetta 1&2, Mirror's Edge, Mass Effect 2, Beetle Adventure Racing, and plenty more.
But the EA of today? Nope!
Just because there's a single player story mode, and no microtransactions doesn't necessarily make the game good, or worth your time. Remember Battle Front II's terrible story mode? It was a slap in the face and EA actually hyped it up as if it was worth while. Many were duped because they beLIEved in EA.
Microsoft claims Google "lacks content." Uh huh.. pot calling the kettle black?
How is MS's xCloud going to win people over without high quality content as well?
They are comedic point-and-click adventure games. With ridiculous moments, packed with crude and zany humor.
If you don't like adventure games that's fine, but porn is not a replacement for the early Al Lowe crafted LSL games.
Give them a chance (at least part 6 and 7 which are the best), you may end up enjoying them.
I love this series, let's not put pressure on Capcom or the devs to rush out the game. A good story, especially as wacky as this series has, takes time to fully craft properly. I'll wait all that is needed in order for the next game to be as good as it can possibly be!
@DarkKaine
Yes! Thank you for being intelligent and logical! The more power we give these conglomerates they more they can take away from us!
Game archival is very important for posterity's sake.
Seeing as how its one of the greatest and most memorable games of all time, the answer is a resounding YES!
MGS is so different from today's games:
No need to 'patch it later'.
No grinding.
No microtransactions.
No toxic online player base.
No fake controversies.
MGS came from a time when gaming was interesting and amazing, and this game in particular stood among the elite. If you've never playe...
You mean empty threats, right?
What do you mean longest development cycle? Sonic Team only had 1 year to make the levels / cut-scenes, etc.
They spent a few years working on the game engine for new hardware, but only had a single year to make the game assets itself. Taken with that context, Sonic Team did surprising well, even if the game itself is lacking.
This is entirely the fault of SEGA executives rushing out yet another Sonic game instead of giving the dev team time to craft some...
I'm glad to see Itsuno stand up for himself against dumb Capcom executives.
Itsuno is the only man that can lead this series after Kamiya started it.
If you stand for nothing, you fall for everything.
Makes me want to support Itsuno even more in the future!
Virtua Cop 3 was released March 2003.

It was planned for Xbox release then canceled, the arcade board is based on the original Xbox hardware, with double the RAM. A homebrew Xbox can run the game but you have to upgrade the RAM to in order for it to work.

You're not alone there. I loved AC III, it was the conclusion to Desmond's story. Since then, the overarching plot has completely stalled. There's a lot of dialog, but not a lick worth of progress.
I'm not a fan of the new grindy / microtransaction direction that the series is heading in. Lots of unnecessary fluff to artificially extend the game for 'value'.
Oh we will for sure. Just like we have "New 3DS", we will have "New Switch."
The seven year lifecycle is of course taking into consideration updated hardware.
Otherwise that guy is out of his mind!
Kojima doesn't want to own the MGS franchise / IP. He's been wanting to distance himself from the series since 2001 after Sons of Liberty. Don't give him what he doesn't want.
Excellent, and intelligent post, a rarity here on N4G.
A lot of people don't understand what a massive undertaking this game is, and I'd personally rather have it split into 3 parts, as long it means there's no season pass, or microtransactions.
The game may even end up bigger than the original in terms of scope if they want to tell the story over again from scratch, they may include parts of Crisis Core, which would be amazing to see running on PS5 te...
