I play my Vita all the time, have a bunch of games in my backlog, plus several this year that I'm looking forward to. (Really hyped for Danganronpa V3 and Mary Skelter: Nightmares) It may not have mass appeal, but that won't stop me enjoying myself with such a great little system. :)
Now if someone could just confirm the localisation of Net High, Uppers, Coven and The Labyrinth, Dungeon Travelers 2-2, Death Mark and Idol Death Game TV that'd be great... M'k...
For a second I thought it said "Full Metal Furries." XD Well wouldn't that have been interesting...
And here I am grinding levels in the sub missions. XD
But seriously, this is no surprise. There were people speed running The Evil Within on Akumu mode after just two weeks.
I don't think it's likely, but I really hope it's true. I love the PSP and Vita and would love to see Sony make a successor.
Porting costs? But according to people online, all a developer has to do is just flick a magic switch and their game will instantly be ported to another system, and a pile of money will fall into their lap, because every single developer will benefit by putting their game on as many systems as possible in every circumstance, no matter what, and those that don't are either evil or will die a painful death. Are you telling me that's not the case!?!? No way... It can't be true...
No thanks. I'd rather not have a heart attack. XD
I dunno about the best ever, but I agree it's an awesome handheld that I'm so glad I bought.
I used to buy pretty much every game I wanted at launch, but recently I've been turned off from that idea. Aside from having a backlog, quite a few games have been released with major bugs at launch (something that seriously dampened my experience with Deus Ex: MD) or they come down in price incredibly quickly.
I recently got Nioh at launch, and I'm glad I did because the game is incredible, but aside from Persona 5, Tekken 7, and a couple collector's editions ...
Wanting a port is fine, it's when PC gamers act like console manufacturers are evil and that their demands as gamers should be met out of principle, that's when I can't help but pity the poor entitled childish beggar.
When someone says "if you want to play it, buy a PS4," they are literally giving you a 100% solution to the problem of not being able to play. They are just giving you the objective facts. But so many people act as if saying this means we...
I still don't even know how people thought Watch Dogs 2 was "pandering to SJWs." The main character is black, wow, they're pushing an agenda down our throats... Somehow...
Watch Dogs 2 wasn't just an improvement over the first, it was a greatly enjoyable game with top-notch writing and a memorable cast. So glad I bought it. Don't know about anyone else but I don't let something like skin colour get in the way of my enjoyment of a game.
If it wasn't for the fact I came across not one, but two game breaking bugs in my playthrough, (one of which I had to wait over a week to be patched out before I could progress any further, the other glitched two of my save files and made me lose over an hour of progress. Luckily I had set up multiple saves besides the automatic ones) I would call Mankind Divided absolutely amazing. Those bugs are a sign that the devs were rushed to make it to launch date.
Sony. Stop. I'm having way too much trouble keeping up with releases this year! I still haven't gotten around to buying Gravity Rush 2 and Resi 7, and I still have games from last year to beat. I've just started Nioh. Persona 5, Yooka-Laylee and Puyo Puyo Tetris are out in April, and you go ahead and remind me of Horizon: Zero Dawn? Damn it, Sony! It's time to stop!
I'm a little confused by the prevalent use of the word "queer." In the UK "queer" is considered a horrific insult against gay people. It's the equivalent of saying "new fa**ot character announced." It's bad enough you could lose your job if heard using it by senior staff, and yet certain circles just use the word all the time. It's bizarre... Or is it just me?
Good to hear. No doubting Forza Horizon is a solid racing series, but the devs may want to tackle something more ambitious.
I think a lot of gamers nowadays are much more savvy when it comes to their purchases. Back in the day it wasn't unheard of for people to buy a game based on an advert they saw once, or the cool-looking box art. Today, gamers have such a breadth of information on the internet, and social media makes it easy for word of mouth to spread. This is exactly how Demon's Souls went from a dead-on-arrival oddity, destined to be forgotten, to spawning one of the most well known series in the ga...
"And places like game trailers were putting out tainted game videos of colors being supposedly washed out. Or the side by side videos of PS3/360 games turning out to be the same PS3 game."
Oh man, I remember that. Wasn't it Gametrailers with their GRID comparison that kicked it all off? A physics comparison where the 360 version had cars spinning and flipping after crashes, while the PS3 version just had them crumple and jolt a bit. Made the PS3 version look ...
Mate, noticing that the PS4 has far, far more on offer than the competition doesn't make you a fanboy. It makes you a realist.
Last gen the 360 gave the PS3 a real run for its money. It was a battle. Both systems were great. This gen, it's a curb stomp.
With only 10 games it's bound to leave out many favourites. Last gen had a ridiculous number of excellent games.
"In fact I wish all games just had a single difficulty, at least for the first playthrough. I don't care if it's easy or hard, just make the experience perfect."
While I wouldn't agree for absolutely every game, I do agree that this idea that multiple difficulties suddenly broadens the scope and appeal to the horizon and solves every problem is a shallow and naive viewpoint. Having one difficulty mode allows the developer to give you their absolute, in...
Yomawari on Vita scared the hell out of me at times! Plus Corpse Party: Blood Drive is damn creepy. I see no reason why handheld horror games can't be scary.
