Yep they are biased bastards
MGS4 got a 10/10
Resistance 2 got a 9.5/10
Uncharted 2 got a 9.5/10
LittleBigPlanet got a 9.5/10
inFamous got a 9.0/10
Modnation Racers got a 9.0/10
The list goes on and on. Clearly, they are biased bastards...
They fear PS3 games to the point where they love the crap out of Uncharted 2 and almost every other exclusive out there. Additionally, they fear them enough that they consistently give 9.0+ to nearly every single exclusive coming from the PS3. Right, I believe you, they fear PS3 games. NOT!
I'm sure that is the case. Like when they gave Resistance 2 a 9.5 or LBP a 9.5. Oh, how about when they gave Uncharted 2 a 9.5? They also gave Modnation racers a 9.0, like when they gave inFamous a 9.0, etc. etc. etc.
Please don't act as though everyone has an agenda against Sony.
The game won't use a total deferred rendering solution. Since it is based on the Unreal Engine 3 (heavily modified) it will retain the baseline structure similar to other UE3 games in the past. However, Irrational has mentioned that they ripped out the UE3's lightning scheme and implemented deferred lightning (utilized in Killzone 2/3 and Crysis 2). Additionally, they have restructured the engine to take advantage of the PS3's architecture (parallel processing I believe, but I'...
Heh. They actually have. It's called Dynasty Warriors Online. It has not been released in the US yet, but it was mentioned that the game will be Free to Play with microtransactions. it is pretty much like you described it as well. You can navigate through mini-towns to talk to NPC's, upgrade weaponry, andparty up with other NPCs or people to go into battle. It sounds and looks pretty interesting.
vgchartz are fanboiss that is teh suckks lol!!! (just kidding)
Honestly AllyOmega, I wouldn't bother. You're comment is just going to get ripped to shreds because people don't have the IQ or business intelligence to understand the methodology being presented by Vgchartz. I've tried to explain it in the past, but people refuse to listen.
These aren't. This data is pretty much for 3 months of sales. Birth by Sleep was officially released in Japan in January, which means that it has been quite a few months.
oops, wrong place.
So you would rather force a fighting game enthusiast to play through the campaign and story mode to unlock characters even if he/she wanted to play online/versus from the get-go?
Here's I how I see his rationale for why unlocking characters to play in versus mode is flawed:
-You are basically restricting a player and preventing him from enjoying parts of the game that are being touted by the developer. i.e. versus/multiplayer where you only have a limited...
I agree with everything you said as well. I guess we can both agree that there are incentives and motives behind exclusive deals that really hurt the customers. Hopefully this exclusivity crap concerning DLC can be dealt with sooner or later.
It is always good to have some civil discussion on this troll infested website :)
Well here is my rationale and logic:
-Companies do not give extra add-ons or dlc out of the goodness of their heart (examples such as Criterion are an exception that I will not incorporate because the practice of giving away free DLC is not widespread).
-developing these DLC/add-ons take time and money.
-who will compensate the publisher/developer for this extra time and money spent?
-First method is to release multiplatform to genera...
1. Batman Arkham Aslyum (Joker challenge mode)
2. Mafia 2 (additional missions)
3. Red Dead Redemption (additional missions)
4. Dante's Inferno (exclusive Limited Edition)
**I love how people disagree with facts
I find it highly unlikely that any of the current publishers will be willing to acquire Take-Two. Right now, the market value for T2 stands at about $929.22M which is pretty undervalued at this point. But, assuming at least a 50% premium on the current stock price of $10.94, the acquiring price will be at least $1.4B + any additional value for the assets.
EA doesn't have the financial stability and ability to pony up that much money, especially at this point when they are...
You are correct. In fact, this video is the PS3 version which is quite surprising, since a lot of developers tend to show the 360 version at these kinds of expos. This is also the exact same gameplay demo that was shown at E3 (obvious based on the E3 Demo logo on the bottom right) and PAX. It looks amazing in person, by the way.
Actually, I might have pointed to the wrong article. The one concerning LucasArts' tech as well as an engineer for Battlefield Bad Company 2 both indicated that MLAA has issues with adjusting subpixel aliasing as well as alpha textures (fences, telephone Poles, etc.). There are also additional issues that LucasArts pointed out that I do quite understand how to explain since I am not an expert in the field. If you refer to that article you will get a good idea of why certain developers opt...
The 2 million is explainable. VGC attempts to estimate/forecast "sale to the end customer". On the other hand, Sony only counts a sale when a batch of their product is sold to the retailer. Sony does not see the money from the end customer, only the money paid to them from the retailer. Thus, retailers have more PS3s in their inventory than people buying it to ensure they don't have supply issues. Hence, there is a difference of 2 million units due to the details I mentioned abo...
He doesn't? Really? Please show me evidence that his statement regarding shipped is incorrect.
Obviously you have never taken a finance class or math class for that matter. You use industry standard ratios and logic based assumptions to derive a formula that can forecast the sales of a product. HENCE MATH. Jeez, people really really lack logic and rationale.
Sorry if your question is rhetorical. I just want to say that people are in denial and do not understand the concepts of forecasting and projections, which is the reason for all the hate.
I guess you never caught the part where dynamic environments come into play. The PS3 version looked brighter because it was not cloudy in the environment. The 360 looks darker because it was cloudy in the environment. Troll harder.
