It doesn't really matter if it looks exactly like Tekken 5 DR HD. Fighting games always emphasize fighting with the graphics in a close second. And, I'm pretty sure most of the people who love fighting games care more about the feel and mechanics compared to the graphics.
I played the demo and I really liked the artwork and battle system. I can't wait to pick this game up.
who in the world would need 768mb/512mb x3 graphics cards.....I think this is a bit overkill on their part and not to mention that it will be very expensive.
I played the demo as well, and really liked the style and artwork in the game. Definitely a game that's on my 'to buy' list.
is that transforming into the White Knight grants higher stats like strength, speed, defense, what have you. Besides that, I'm guessing it gives the character certain special abilities. And judging from the fight with the big thing, I'm guessing it lets you battle on par with it or something. These are only my guesses from seeing other games that involve transformations and such. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. ;-)
Loved the first one, so I can't wait for this one.
I dunno where you got the part about Warhawk being a broken online game and Lair is basically a hit or a miss for the people who buy it. Most everyone who bought Lair don't seem to have a problem with the controls as well. They just adapt to the situation obviously. And regarding Heavenly Sword, so what if it was a 6-7 hour game? I enjoyed every single minute of those 6-7 hours (although it took me closer to 9-10 because the final boss was freaking uber). None of it ever bored me, the cinemat...
I've played the earlier TC's in the arcade and enjoyed them a lot. The visuals may not look all that great, but with the Guncon3 I'm sure its gonna be more of a feel/gameplay than the visual aspect. That being said, it seems PS3 has integrated more motion sensing technology, which should give it some more flexibility. Of course this is only one instance and Wii still rules in that category (motion sensing), but I believe this is a positive step forward.
I believe USA Today criticized the PS3 about its lack of support and such a while ago. Maddens Raiders below also brought up how the ps3 was used as an example for overpriced tech items that people are not willing to pay. That said, I highly doubt they are "sony lovers" and presented this review on an unbiased basis.
Didn't Final Fantasy 12 have a midnight release party at most of the major Gamestops across the US?
But each of the Dynasty Warriors games (not the hyper/empires/extreme versions) have sold millions like the articles says, so they will keep making them and I highly doubt that it will ever get old because people in Asia are really adamant about this franchise.
@RadientFlux,
The Xtreme version of DW# is basically an expansion and the Empire's version is more of an RTS kind of thing. And the Special/Hyper's are the PC versions...so its pretty much take your pick depending on what...
@Kigmal
Actually they do have games that rack in money and are AAA caliber. Those would be Lineage and Guild Wars because they are widely popular and everyone that I know who bought the games are very satisfied with the feel of the games and how the company continues to provide support for them. Of course this is my outlook and your tastes on this matter may be different.
@WilliamRLBaker
Most of the patches that the company releases are for promotional events or bonus wee...
I'm pretty sure 80% - 90% of the games in the industry can't reach that high of a number in the first week. So based on that, are you saying that those other 80% - 90% aren't good? In regards to Warhawk, those numbers only reflect the retailer sales. It does not take into account the PSN sales that could greatly increase the 100k.
I liked the fact that you could play both of the characters and it provided enough action for you to get a feel for the six-axis control scheme at work. That said, I am definitely looking forward to the release of this game.
If this predicament actually comes true, then we will definitely be in for an interesting holiday season.
People are trying to connect CH-DVD with HD-DVD too quickly. We do not know what China's foreign objectives are concerning mass producing a cheap player that could play HD-DVD's with minor tweaking considering both Blu-ray and HD-DVD are considered western tech that they do not want to get involved with at this point. For now, it is pure speculation and assumption concerning the production of cheap HD-DVD players. We will have to wait to see what happens in the time being.
It says that CH-DVD models may be able to play HD-DVD discs, but the question is will China do that? They have said that they did not want to enter the western tech debacle, so allowing for the players to be compatible with HD-DVD would be kind of contradictory to what they are preaching. There is also evidence to support why China won't allow compatibility with 'western' techs like HD-DVD. They developed their own cars and have imported minimal foreign cars. They have companies for making TV...
Actually they gave the 60gb ps3 an 8.8 and what is pooray? I recall there isn't anything on the market for that.(sarcasm if you can't figure that out). In regards to the review, its nice to see that the new PSP has a couple upgrades that increases its performance. But, I don't know if I would buy the new version because I don't think its homebrew capable =\
you understand that PS3 has nothing to do with this article correct? So seriously, take this pathetic excuse for an argument and post it somewhere where it is relevant. In regards to the actual news, Blu-ray is going somewhere with its European sales, lets hope this keeps up.
Haze is turning out to be a very interesting game with this kind of integration
