No spoilers, but if you compare this film to Advent Children Complete (much better than the original version), they have improved a lot. And FFVII is my favourite game of all times, but the film is just not a film, it's an attempt of film.

There are TONS of things never tried on a turn based combat battle system. I think you can make it dynamic, easy to use but insanely hard to master, and diverse, all at the same time.

I don't understand why people is so harsh with this game. I haven't had the opportunity to spend more than 15 hours on it yet but I think is very fun at combat and really beautiful on the way you move around with your car. Difficulty is better gauged than with most other entries and it'll probably receive a hard mode dlc if people ask for it too...
