Don't get me wrong, Demon's Souls & Dark Souls aren't simply good because they're hard to beat...
There's far more to them than that, however, most of which can only really be appreciated as it should be because of the steep learning curve.
The initial venture in to the Swamp in Demon's Souls for example is one of the most traumatising experiences in gaming I've had, and it wouldn't have been this way...

Agreed, started playing Dragon's Dogma not long ago, EVERYONE should get this game, it's like Skyrim (a really, really good version) smashed together with Demon's Souls. Perfect.
Remember, there's bound the be a whole load of unlockable characters kept hidden.. I hope...

Look at all the games that are STILL considered as being the greatest of all time, it's not because of their graphics..
It's rather unlikely to be multiplatform, regardless of what has been shown. A high-spec PC could be a Playstation 4 without Playstation 4 casing, as it's yet to be finalised.
