The ONLY problem I've found with this game is in the offline split-screen races.. You're no longer able to choose the vehicles your opponents are using.. Why is this?
One of the best parts of Pacific Rift is being a bike and racing a huge fleet of monster trucks.

I'm imagining the ending to be similar to the end of the film 'Reign of Fire' or 'Battle: Los Angeles'

Stop what exactly? It's like attacking a tank with a toothpick. Sony is a very, very, very well established brand, if it was a brand that relied on it's websites (like eBay for example) then taking the sites down for an hour or so would have a small, short-lasting effect.. ...
