Don't think the arm chair engineers on N4G caught that Microsoft has custom build the Jag chip in the One X, not only is it designed to be more efficient at an individual core level, but with DX-12 embedded right into the board, any engine designed for DX-12 will see big gains if optimized properly for the console
Get good bro, you Hanzo main
Or middle earth which hits a native 4K on the Pro
What? Lol by what means?
The ND engine is even more technically impressive than this
If you're talking scalability that belongs to UE4
So I'm not seeing where it's the best
I would agree with you whole heartedly if we were still at 2007. Many modern game engines ( UE4, Frostbite, Decima, CryEngine etc) are trying to push the envelope in many different areas that you listed ( UI, physics ray tracing, lighting etc) so to say they can render at 16 bits would only just scale back their visions for their engine design. You can't trace physically based materials and a GI lighting system at 16 bit or hell even 32 bit its being outdated based on what engines can pus...
Nice hopefully we see some great improvements on KH3 and Sea of Thieves, UE4 has a DX12 pipeline too so if these developers wanted they can really push the hardware
Won't mean much in the end. 90% of modern game engines render everything at 32 bits and higher for even a slight performance gain developers would have to specifically code for this feature. PS4 Pro support from 3rd parties is already mediocre, this is just adding another hassle for them
Yeah cause that's easily one the most demanding titles on the market
@fatbastard
BF1 does have an HDR pipeline, in fact all titles on the current Frostbite engine build support it. Its more of why DICE has refused to enable it to display to TV's my guess is something to do with FPS on consoles and a lack of optimizations on that end
The issue is Overwatch is so dominant nothing can come close in that genre.
I'm so confused, people tell me it's an online focused e sports biased game, but that is barely an proportion of the title. Then we look at the SP and it's basically tutorials
Even there it isn't at the peak, FM7 features dynamic weather and time and an HDR pipeline, also has full 4K assets and runs at a higher resolution on the One X
FM5 earned those scores, it was barebones, but FM6 is widely acclaimed as being a very good racing sim. Not to mention both games (physics wise) are near identical and from the Beta for Sport. The physics model isn't that much better than FM6 and doesn't even com within spitting distance of PC
Point went right over your head which is many will buy it simply because of the name. Not everyone is critical about a game before purchase, many are franchise loyalists
I'm hoping there is FREE DLC in the post- support. Would set them aside from the other two, nickel and dimming for cars is what I hate the most in racing games
It's a step backwards in every way aside from the FIA stuff. No more dynamic time and weather, bottled down SP campaign, way less cars. I'm sure it'll sell on the name alone but I really thought PD would set the bar for racing games again
If you couple the cost of your original parts plus your upgrade it still wouldn't match a $500 price tag
@S2
Bruh gotta stop licking the Sony sack. XBL is objectively the better network, its won an award against PSN for faster network service and reliability. Also cross-play is a good thing for everyone, trying to spin it as a negative shows your fanboyism that much more
Grow up
Can't do that, remember all PS4 owners also own a high end gaming rig as well
As someone with multiple high-end 4K TVs, I could not be more excited to play more 4K titles on Xbox One X. Shadow of War looks amazing, though I'll wait to see how the Pro version fairs before purchase
