If he doesn't do we give him a fanboy funeral on N4G?
Uhh what? lol You can't even enable super sampling if the PS4 Pro detects a 4K signal....?
Thats true, hoping it can come soon, as proper weather, even being baked, would take this game up a notch
Microsoft vision of the future is basically no explicit console generations. Rather more powerful hardware that utilizes the same library of games as the Xbox One, but at higher resolution, frame-rate etc. As time goes on, certain hardware will get phased out, while newer ones still get software support. Example:
Ninja Theory's new game in 2020 or 2021: works on Xbox One S, One X and Xbox 2
Ninja Theory's new game/ sequel in 2024 or 2025: works on Xbox On...
Okay so where is the weather update? Its been over 6 months and NOTHING. PD either lied out of its ass or they're trying to delay adding weather for w.e reason.
Using last-gen assets, texture quality. The Redux versions, really saw the most improvement in lighting. The game also has a partial ray-trace feature coming to PC, loll, thats cutting edge lighting tech bud. This game is a graphical showcase, but as you seem to be an arm chair engineer, I'm expecting the Pro to also hit Native 4K on this as well.
@kevnb
Whats funny is your insecurity about your own comment LOL
Microsoft is a powerhouse company on par with the world's biggest tech companies including Amazon and Google. Sony is a tier below that, still massive and extremely powerful, but no where near as lucrative as Microsoft or any of the other Big 3. Nonetheless, even with resources for Microsoft it also comes down to design decisions, if they think trying a multi-media hub machine is the future, they'll mess up hardware again. They need to stick with what made the One X impressive, which ...
Microsoft pretty much wont't ever have the weaker console EVER again. They saw how much the 720p box hurt their marketing image, and now its pretty much a pride and go to aspect, for them to have the most powerful gaming hardware out there.
Most of these studios ( with the exception of MAYBE Playground) won't see their new games until the Xbox 2 cycle
Actually Undead Labs will still be doing State of Decay into the near future. As for 343i, pretty sure they have some of the most creative freedom, those people CHOOSE to make Halo games. Microsoft originally wanted a new IP after 5, but they choose to expand on their assets and even made a new engine going into the future ( Slipspace) As for the rest, who knows, but you won't see shit till Xbox 2 ( aka 2020 and beyond)
@Shadow Wolf
You can't even get off the boat in Skull And Bones....lol there is literally no land exploration. That already makes it pale in comparison to Sea of Thieves. Now it still doesn't have a lot of content, but its added a good amount and you're getting 2 large expansions for FREE coming up. I think it deserves all the hate it got at launch, but if the Sony Knights on this site can give games like GT and DC a pass, because of the numerous free updates its got, why...
OG Xbox was much more powerful than the PS2
PS3 was a lot more powerful than the 360
PS4 was more powerful than Xbox One
Xbox One X is more powerful than the Pro
Don't see where Microsoft never had a power lead and I doubt they'll ever accept being the weaker hardware ever again, especially after the flak they got this generation
@Zeref
They'll probably both be similar in hardware power once again
Still don't know WTF is going on. I trust Kojima and I'm sure there is fantastic gun play, but man the first and last bits of the game trailer just look dull. Hope to see some actual gun play and enemy interaction moving forward
@pwnmaster3000
Halo's trailer was also just a game engine showcase, its WAY off from being made, they even said so
@Suave
Actually Kojima confirmed that first part you witnessed is actually how the gameplay will turn out. That and the last part as well
@Bigger Boss
Rare had 5 years to develop Sea of Thieves, its not Microsoft's fault their game ended up being mediocre. Not to mention Rare CHOSE to develop Kinect titles, they wanted to go that direction, Microsoft originally wanted to outsource the development of them
They're pretty much the frontrunners of these kinds of services in particular to gaming. Problem is when you lack original content on your end, you have no weight if say Sony comes into the market and does the same thing. EA and Ubisoft will most likely have their own versions and MSFT and Sony will probably have similar set ups, with similar titles with really the 1st party line-up being the differentiator
Super excited, they hired some new writers, one of them is from the former Irrational Games ( Bioshock makers) and you can tell that they're new found focus on a more intimate story is proof that they took the criticisms from the last title to heart. These guys can easily make a GOTY level title, like really Gears 4's mediocre story held back an otherwise incredible title.
