The difference is that with PS+ you get games (many free games) and discounts and many other cool features like automatic downloading and cloud saving. Also, we've had Youtube on the PS3 since launch. lol I think MS should release a browser for the Xbox 360 so people have the opportunity to use it if they want.
And, PS+ isn't REQUIRED to play online multiplayer. That's the biggest difference.

I 100% agree with FunAndGun. Most console owners like me will agree that PC's have better graphics, but the fact remains that consoles are cheaper, easier to use, and have a LOT better exclusives. (especially PS3 exclusives).
Most people don't want to spend 100's of dollars to upgrade all the time.
Apple will never replace the Vita and 3DS completely until they get good exlusive games, and, more importantly, actual buttons on their devices. (or an official control pad peripheral). Now if they had some gamepad peripheral that hooked into the dock port on the bottom of your iPhone/iPad/iTouch, then they'd have something, cause even I'd be tempted to buy into that. I second that. Battlefield 3 is a definite buy. I'm about 50/50 on buying MW3. I want to, but I don't know if I can justify buying the same game a third time in a row. Sure, there are changes, but a lot of them are for the worst. Those killstreaks and some of the perks are just BS. They're unnecessary and overpowered, imo.

I still think they would've been smarter to make Halo 4 an Xbox 720 launch title. Launch the new Xbox with a heavy hitter and it will give people a reason to upgrade. After all, quality exclusives are what sell consoles.

And I'm betting that the PS4 and PS Vita will be able to do Cross Game/Cross Platform Chat, so one person could be playing any given game on the PS4 and the other person could be playing any given game on the PS Vita and both will be able to talk to each other. It's possible.
