My PC's power supply melted once. That is my only problem that has caused my gaming system to fail. I like being able to build and fix computers.

@DragonKnight - It would save them a tonne of money on R&D and console costs while still giving them there lovely 30% profit on all games. Seems like a lot of profit. The reason they wont do this however is because its not really in the consumers best interest. People want to own their games and want to be able to play them offline.

@thehitman

Your idea of PC game development is flawed. When making a game you target what type of hardware you want to be able to hit (your min spec machine) depending on the audience. If you are making a military FPS you do not care about anything below that minimum spec.

A very light wallet, and to many games to admit.

A lot of people seem to think achieving 1080p @ 60fps is a hard task. 90% of games run at 1080p @ 60fps on a single midrange card like the HD6850 which is very cheap now. Of course this does not apply to games like BF3 or Crysis.

Im just saying you are saying Sony are smart because they failed to get an IP. Why do you console fanboys praise companies like this?

I remember when the player counts were announced and then console gamers laughed saying that 64 players is to much. Then it came out and the complained about maps being empty :S

They did not cut the player count to troll console gamers, it was done because of technical limitations.

Mainly because the consoles can't keep up with the industry. EA has already said that making F2P games is as profitable as console games. Yet neither Microsoft or Sony make a big effort in supporting this huge market on PC.

I enjoy BC on PC :(

I have seen a few articles about this. A quick google search came up with: http://arstechnica.com/gami... Seems its good for everyone

I don't remember any bugs either.

I just got 7 games I wanted for £8 :) I love you steam.

Because it is PC footage, the game will ofc have to be cut down for the console versions.

HDD's are faster than blu ray drives. It is not just capacity that counts, speed is a very important factor on how much content can be in the game.

Dead Island was the last game I bought that disappointed me. Every call of duty deservers a score of 3 - 6 as they are so bland.

Smart? looks at their losses, what are you measuring the smartness of a business by, the average IQ of its employees or what a business is about. Making money.

never cared for it. Not even sure I can see it properly though.

5075d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

Yes but most people do not have the technical knowledge to buy a PC unfortunately. The price to what you can do ratio is off the roof atm.

CD Project RED and Valve (on PC anyway) are the two best companies for giving stuff out for free.
