you do not need half life 1 to play this mod. You only need the source SDK which comes with any source game or from steam.
I am going to play this and then two to see what I have been missing.

EA is worth 5 billion.
But steam has at least doubled its profits every year for 7 years so It will probably overtake EA.

No one do what he says, It only takes 10 seconds with no cooling for a CPU to get damaged from heat and you will have to reapply thermal paste. Most new PCs will not even boot without the CPU fan plugged in to the motherboard.
That is extremely unlikely to the point that it is near impossible.
Day Z is the most innovative zombie game I have seen in the past few years.
I avoided buying Diablo 3 because Torchlight 2 has mod support. It has been a long wait, I hope its worth it.

Why don't Sony just offer a develepor kit similar to XNA that allows people to make and test there own games without having to hack the system and open it up to piracy. Some people just want to create and learn. I would be much more interested in a vita if there was a development kit for it.

Actually a lot of us PC devs would not be around without Microsoft. Most of us utilize Microsoft Visual Studio as are IDE of choice and Direct X 11 as are API of choice. Without MSDN a lot of us would not have learnt how to code . Microsoft has done a lot for game development.

A modder implemented the feature in 23 mins. That shows more than just laziness. It shows they do not care. Forgive me for not supporting incompetence.
It took a single modder 23 mins to do what this company could not do and for that they will not get my purchase.
That contrast on the PS3 looks so bad. Really looks over exposed. PC even at that low resolution looks the best.
It still has more AAA exclusives than nay other platform so I have to disagree. If you then add all of the indie and smaller budget games it is miles ahead.
Dragon Age 1 (PC) was a very tactical and fun experience. If you can remake that experience I will buy your game, if you turn it into a hack and slash I will play Torchlight 2 again.
