Nope.
By that I mean Sony and Microsoft will not let you go straight to the hardware. Imagine how many consoles would be bricked. Without an API what's to guarantee that the hardware will understand your instruction set,
YOU CAN NOT GO STRAIGHT TO THE HARDWARE. There is always a degree of abstraction and you will always be using a API. The consoles have both a high level and low level API. Unless you are creating an exclusive it is much more efficient to use the high level API over the low level one. Otherwise you make porting a nightmare.
"Hah watchdogs only runs at 59 fps 1080p on PC, my PS4 can run it at 30fps 900p! take that!"
Randomness
The new chipset for intel allows SSD's to be connected via PCI and achieve speeds of 1GBs (not gb)
I got windows 8.1 free from dreamspark.
Both consoles are just black though
Even just making life easier for the developers does something. I'm pretty sure last gen was a good example of that.
This made me chuckle.
Zenimax is Bethesda, or at least was started by them.
@lfc_4eva
People are just being stupid as usual on this site. They seem to think that they know better than engine programmers who have worked on these systems. Then they take it personally that someone said that there are limits to their wonder box.
So having a control input that better suits a genre makes you a noob? Okay. I hope you don't drive with one hand to be pro.
You mean that platform that has half of the games in this bundle already?
I doubt most customers, me included, know anything about the xbox sales numbers. I bought a PS4 without checking sales numbers.
This article is so sad. Made me laugh.
Exactly the community I was thinking about. I have never seen such a friendly community in my many years of console gaming.
I love the sense of community there is in these types of games on PC. You never get this with competitive games.
@Geoff
You make no sense at all. What are you trying to say?
Be advised if you want a headset that works well on both PC and PS3 then don't get these. A quick google search shows quite a few mic problems with this on PC.
Unlikely, look on the forums about all the QQ on mouse being OP.
