I'm gonna have to start staying away from these type of articles since there's always a chance I'll buy at least 2 games and in the current state that the world is in, I'm about to be a father so i gotta prioritize my son but goddamn I'd buy at least 5 games from this list.

I'd call it a rework. A lot of key moments are gone, they changed the story with this whispers bullshit and now aerith could survive which is one of the biggest character developments for sephiroth
This game has been such a let down, I dont think I'll buy it, even if they put it on sale.
I rather keep my memory of Final Fantasy VII as epic as the PS1 made the story feel. Square enix only had 1 job, and that was to give us the FF7 experience with better graphics, not make an almost different butchered 1/3rd of a game with dull extra side quests and a LOT of important moments gone from the story.

When it comes to games like final fantasy and kingdom hearts, it's useless to speak facts to its casual fans.
The game is a cash grab for the sole reason that they're gonna sell you two other parts of a game that could've easily been finished by now. I remember when they teased a final fantasy remake before final fantasy versus 13 became final fantasy 15. That's over 10 years and they still haven't finished a game basically every fan has asked?
