His point was "Adding Linux was like taking the lock off the back door." And my point is that this article has nothing to do with Linux and the product they have simply extends the PS3's SATA and power connectors so that a larger hard drive can be hooked up. So, I would assume by saying Linux opened the back door you mean that Linux made it possible for their product? No idiots, this tool is independent of Linux and so is it's functionality. This isn't hacking. I'm not sure you unde...
Although I feel like the Wii will be forever plagued with games that are merely collections of mini-games such as this (and Wii sports, Super Monkey Ball, Rayman, etc.) I can't deny the fun to be had with these games while drunk and with friends.
I agree with this article... But personally, I knew I liked this game when the story didn't matter to me anymore, and I didn't care who or what we were shooting as long as I was shooting something. A truly thrilling game and is at its best on Insane difficulty. Co-op is the best way to play through the campaign and multiplayer is always intense.
Yes, that's possible but the purpose of the Hyperdrive as they state is for extra storage for games (whether those be pirated or not). This functionality is independent of Linux on PS3.
This has nothing to do with Linux on the PS3.
Really? So does that mean Microsoft owns Viacom and furthermore MTV Networks?
I bet that kid hates host advantage.
Well I just set the output on my 360 to 1280x1024 and it worked fine for Gears of War.
GTHD has been canceled and will be free to download as a concept demo on December 24th (Japan). GT5 is now in full development.

Hmm. I haven't had any problems using VGA with my LCD monitor. Or maybe I have and didn't notice!
Um. How about neither.
Innacurate: the PS3 outputting 480p is for games only and does not affect Blu-ray playback at 1080i.
In other news... the Corpser is the dumbest boss ever.
I like to think of this game as an off-road Burnout... if it plays like that then I'd get it. But, I'll just wait for the reviews... and I'm not getting a PS3 anytime soon anyway.
THWIP, I'd agree with you but this is not a simulation game. This is an action game and everything is meant to accentuate that aspect (kind of like Black). People want to see results when they shoot things and Resistance does that for the most part. If you want to complain about physics why not also complain about the rag dolls, or smoke, or fire, or water... it can go on and on because none of those are accurate physics simulations. But you know what? Nobody cares because it's all about pres...
Neat. Reminds me of when I first messed around in Half-Life 2 with all the things to mess with.
OK, name a game right now that attempts metal deformation like this and reacts more realistically. Then, find videos and post it.
And the reason why the lamp post bent when he wasn't aiming at it is because he was using a shotgun. And you know... shotguns shoot shells that contain pellets that spray out, not like bullets.
Why don't you guys rag on the fact that the chair would not break in the second video when the table right next to it shattered to piece...
To joystiq crippled is equal to no background downloading and no download resuming.
That's a perfect excuse for it overheating... and the fact that it's next to the door doesn't matter if the case has no air flow... So it's the designer of the display case's fault, not the PS3. This is why I said it's more relevant to get to the bottom of the guys PS3 not working when it was not in such an enclosed case. Get it, cupcake?
Well, other than the GPU, once you see this game on a quad-core CPU then you'll probably want one of those to play it:
