I doubt it. Sure, it'll increase the presence, but that doesn't mean that it'll still be a force to be reckoned with. Unless you know...Square Enix releases a new exclusive for them every month.

XII was a love it or hate it affair. I personally liked it. Sure, turn based or something similar is where its at, but I like trying new things. Plus, I loved the world of Ivalice since Final Fantasy Tactics.
Square Enix just doesn't have it's priorities straight. They want to appeal to the western market, but they should know better to just stick to what they know best instead of trying to be what they're not.
Nah. Even when they merged with Enix, there were still quality titles. Dragon Quest VIII (though it was developed by Level 5, heh), Final Fantasy XII, Star Ocean 3 (Not as good as 2, but not a horrible game at all), Crisis Core, The World Ends With You...etc.
The problem is, they're trying these new ideas with the wrong methods. Its like Square Enix was not prepared for the HD gaming market. Hell, they even plopped Dragon Quest IX on the DS...not only would it sell the best, but ...
It'll be a tragedy if The Last Remnant sells better than this. The Last Remnant could have been better if they put more time and thought into it. They wanted to reach out to the western audience, but it's funny how even Valkyria Chronicles gets that accomplished with the Third Person Shooter elements.

Anyway, yeah. I was expecting more from the DLC, but as I figured before...nothing too special. It's nice...but it shouldn't have been promoted and talked about so heavily.
Some expected new areas like Vice City, San Andreas, or maybe even another part of Liberty City. They probably won't admit it now, but they may feel pretty dumb.
Which saddens me, because I love the Star Ocean series. When it comes to the PS3 (It will, trust), Square Enix and Tri Ace better round up all the flaws in the reviews and fix them.
Why? The JRPGs that end up on the DS and PSP. Most of the time, they're always quality and they get good reviews.
The JRPGs on consoles just don't hold the same magic. That's what is missing. Square has to keep a balance of trying new things and keeping old traditions. They do that for their main Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games, but nothing else. Everything else is mediocre because they try too hard to do something new and effective at the same time.
They can't leave Japan behind. Dragon Quest doesn't sell well anywhere else. Final Fantasy also thrives in Japan.
They can have studios in the US, but don't expect greatness.
Chrono Trigger deserves it. Lets see if The Last Remnant has legs. Doubt it. Don't think it's going to do too well over here in any case. Love it or hate it kinda game.
It would've been better for the game if both the PS3 version and 360 version came out together...but then no one would buy it for 360 in Japan, eh?
For a week. But then something special for PS3 owners comes out in December anyway, so it'll be moot.
No doubt another heavy hitting title for the PSP. Expect it to sell out first week in Japan.
I await the day when a game that actually deserves it breaks sales records.
Not putting this, Halo 3, or GTA4 down...but it's about time other games get mass recognition and success also.

How exactly is Kotaku biased against the PS3? I mean, can I get some links to things they have said about it? I'm a PS3 Fan and I frequent Kotaku a whole lot. A good amount of the people I've met there have PS3s and are only critical of it when need be.

Even when it is launched, it will still be in a sort of "Beta" form. Home will probably always be getting updates and other improvements while it is around.
