the way i see it, if you buy a ps3 and blu ray loses the format war you still have a unit that has some second hand value,
buy a hd standalone player or the 360 add on and HD loses... well nobody is gunna want to take it off your hands.
not trying to flame just seems to me from a financial point of view ps3 is a safer bet, its always got that resale value

i think jericho deserves the middle of the road rating it got it didnt really strike me as a shooter that would be a must buy.

and as for the melee combat it makes perfect sense to me that the individual with the least health should be killed, why should a melee attack be an instant kill instead of being gaged on a players ability to inflict damage on another?
dvd players in 80% of homes and sales are falling slightly. i wouldn't take that as a sign of the death of dvds more the fact that the market has become saturated.
sacd and dvd-a are good examples of formats which where technically better but the public ignored because of the specialist equipment needed i.e new cd player and to get the most out of them 5.1 surround system or at the very least 2.1 separates.
