That's not true MS has the data to back up what they designed. I have read an article long before the announcement of X1 that most people on x360 were and still using it for media more than gaming.

Their mistake was announcing the media first and using tablet parts to build a console. Then Sony jump first to get a head start and they were not ready in fact they probably wanted to release it this year with dx12.

This and do not listen to PC gamers because most of them sit 2 feet away from a monitor. Console gamers sit on average 8 to 10 feet away from a TV. This is were 900p and 1080p can become difficult to see and the difference of frames per second is more evident and important.
Not that 1080p is always preferred but at the average distances and TV sizes around 50 to 60 inches it is difficult to see by the eye.

An upgraded 3d card with more ram and halo 5 would make me think....
