R3N1G4D3 - FU#K off - many of us are NOT thieves. clearly you're taking the "everyone is doing it, so it's ok" defense - but it's not. hacking and pirating is cowardly, criminal and offensive.
speak for yourself, but don't pretend to know what the rest of us are doing.
jezuz - you haven't been reading my comments then - they need to start putting ANY hackers in jail for a minimum of 5-8 years. the world runs on computers and these people need to be taken seriously for the criminal losers they are.
it's probably a surprise to you, budbundy, but MANY of us aren't thieves...........but, i'm guessing you are.
so being a criminal is real profession?
so geno - i guess when these hackers get tired of trophies and move on to people on psn with credit card numbers.......it won't be big deal except to the people who get their numbers stolen?
grow up.
Elite, you boob - there is NO sides in this. everyone who LOVES gaming should be concerned about this - the losers who think geo is some hero are just smart-@sses and thieves.
the only possible sides would be those who DON'T break the law and those who do.
this is news for GAMERS - not news for thieves. where is all of this trash coming from.
AKissFromDaddy - how do you figure his lawyer is
"awesome"? unless his lawyer can show where sony says that one of things that the ps3 was intended to be used for is to hack it's security which allows for anyone to pirate any game it wants and use it illegally in a way the software was NEVER meant to be used - unless he can find that information - his words come off as a snakeoil salesman selling fake cures to sick people.
his lawyer sounds like an idiot to me....
if these hackers are just doing this for their own personal fun - why did they RELEASE THE INFO ONLINE TO ANYONE WHO WANTS IT? especially when the hackers know better than anyone the POTENTIAL FOR USING THE INFO TO ILLEGALLY PIRATE GAMES?
your arguement (and many others on this site) smells of false naivety.
also,i thought KZ1 created a great story and introduced the best enemies since nazis - the helghast.
loved the levels too - the mall and park were lots of fun.
computesci - your "common sense" is what is going to ruin gaming for all of us that just want to enjoy high-quality gaming.
i'm not going to fight with you - everyone on this site who supports these hacker losers can have a great time stealing games. and hey! maybe sony will quit the games business because of your actions and we'll never see all of the great exclusives that were due to hit in the coming months/years.......i guess you'll feel like a real nerdly s...
and your thinking that geos lawyer knows more than sonys CORPORATE lawyers who do nothing but this on a daily basis?
and what you call "common sense".......many call: theft/hacking/stealing/copyrig ht infringement
just why are you so determined to support this loser?
and sometimes i can jump off my roof and fly if i catch a good headwind. S
so, your friend is a thief. are you advocating stealing games?
you beat me to it imvix - bubbles for you.
OGharryjoysticks - i guess you have the same "tough talk" and swearing problem with EVERY war movie ever made?
agreed.
bubbles for you.
hey imp - you're reported and ignored for personal attacks and threats. i could spit out the same but that would be stepping down to your level.
if you READ my post above you'd understand where i'm coming from as far as how very bad things can come from hacking. and the crimes you mentioned?.....i'd say the death penalty is appropriate for those as well. as far as comparing crimes? this isn't the issue. part of my feeling stems from different issues. one of the ma...
with the worlds dependance on computers, YES, hacking is a SERIOUS crime. if hackers aren't given punishments that deter what they do, then they'll continue. hackers already have been able to get into banks, universities.....etc... and commit identity theft which devastates a persons life. how long before hackers can get into systems that control electricity, dams, weapons.....etc...not to mention the viruses they spread thru computer networks.
mariowarfare, you and...
hey - if you're not going to commit the crime, who cares if death is the penalty. the only people who should care are those breaking the law?
i've never hacked and have no intention of doing so. that being said, i agree with a severe penalty for hacking.
edit: bananlol - it beats liberalism 100 or bleeding hearts 102
fu%K - hotz is making up lies as he goes along. if this is the case - he'd better have proof.
and even if he has proof - the feature he's trying to add is one sony removed because HOTZ was using it to hack the console and compromise it's security.
