I wish I had access to such rental service in Canada.
I think there is GameAccess (the Canadian version of Gamefly) but I'm just wary of the pricing, it's either 1game/month for $17.99 or 2games/month for $24.99.
I think they've come down a tad.
While they used to be:
$4.99 - 4hr, $7.99 - 7Days, $14.99 - 30Days, $29.99 - 90Days.
They are now:
$2.99 - 4hr, $4.99 - 7Days, $12.99 - 30Days, and $24.99 90Days.
Clearly the 90Days still needs work, but all these prices vary from title to title. I've seen a few 90 Days for $19.99.
Is it better than buying used, or digital? Not at all. But I have thus ...
When is PS TV hitting North America!?
I need dis.
Honestly reading about PS4's upcoming SharePlay feature seems to be the most intriguing thing coming out of Gamescom.

Yeah, same. More disappointed with Sony tho.
I know they want to show new, but I don't get why they don't reiterate their big hitters. Gamers can be a finicky bunch, but another thing that is also true is that many many gamers don't tune into events, or only catch the AAA highlights.
Would it kill them to show another teaser for Uncharted4, HALO MMC or 5.
Dude, if that's what you call Sony demolishing the competition....
Then maybe I have my eggs in the wrong basket.
I did NOT buy nextgen for INDIES!
Nothing official other than it was initially spotted on MS's site as published my MS - which would indicate only a PC port is possible.
But that was since said to be a error, indicating not.
So, no. No official word of whether it's only "2015 holidays" or 100%
The trailers don't say "first" for kicks
I'm sure they used their sale figures to get MS to pay top dollar.
Sorry, but not all Sony fans are as sour.
It's business.
I have no doubt that Crystal Dynamics used the 3:1 sales of TR:DE on PS4 to sway the deal heavily in their favor.
Don't be so silly as to make it out to be personal.
Gamers play games, not industry politics.
Tomb Raider sucks

Just a thought, but what if EA Access forces Sony to change PSNow into a subscription service, and thus makes all the stream-able games part of the PS-Now "Vault"?
Either way, I do think both are just mechanisms for these companies to get more out of us, and I personally have zero interest in using them.
That all said, as it stands EA Access > PS Now. I'd much rather pay $5/mnth for newish AAAs than $3/hr for older games.
I see a few titles that I could see myself using.
And I even say a few with somewhat reasonable prices. $2.99 for 4hrs, $4.99 for 7, $12.99 for 30days.
That's not terrible. Not ideal, nor the best value. But I don't see PS Now as being for everyone, I see it for people away from home, travelling ect.
Those prices are terrible if you are using the service primarily because you'll need access to the game anywhere, on various devices.
...
You don't even leave it out to watch it collect dust?
My Xbox One has the top-most-center spot in my entertainment setup. PS4 is standing on top the shelving. (my GF asked why I did this, despite not using it)
..... that's because I don't feel good about putting my PS4, that'll be running frequently, in such enclosed space.
Battlefield should do the same. Just make the new guns locked to the DLC owners, but make the maps a free compatibility update
Anyone aware of which system is lead platform?
I remember rumors in May that'd be PS4.
I wonder what kind of identity crisis Call of Duty will go through having their exclusive deals being to their non-lead platform.
Have we had this before? Exclusive deals towards non-lead platform?
Didn't you see that Mech?
I'm trying to draw distinction betweens the two...
Dead Island seems to be going a Sunset Overdrive route with over the top fun-in-the-sun killing, where as Dying Light is going for the more survival-horror, with day-n-night cycle for fun/nightmare.
I am interested to see how Dying Light daytime differs from Dead Island 2.
Unless the day-n-night cylce in Dying Light really pans out to be exciting and fun, Dead Island 2 day-only may turn...
Can someone explain to me how these two games are not stepping on each others feet? (I think I want to buy both)
Dead Island was Techland and Deep Silver. (same for Riptide I believe)
Dead Island 2 is now Deep Silver with Yager?
And Dying Light is Techland with Warners?
They clearly share much in the combat department, how did these two companies BOTH make off with using the Dead Island material?
I believe the prices you have seen are the recently reduced prices, which I agree aren't that insane.
Are they equal to actually buying the game used, of course not. If you have enough forethought to actually know what you want to play, and when - then you have the option of getting a better value.
But I see PS Now being for those pressed for options, like being away from home, ect.
And if PS Now is your only option for gaming, then yeah...
