For people who already owned a PS3 or 360, it was very average. On pen and paper it had one of the best launches for a console ever. Just waiting patiently for Killer Metroid game and Zelda. Monster Hunter as well.

The guy who calls gamers trolls, also includes himself in that. He isn't using the term 'troll' in the typical negative way, but just pointing out that us gamers (himself included) are always testing a games boundaries, which forces developers to basically work harder to implement measures.

I'm just sitting back and enjoying all these great reviews for Ni No Kuni. As others have said, hopefully it sells well and encourages other developers to dream big and go for it. Also, hopefully it hails the return of the JRPG. (Now I'm singing that celebrate good times thing lol, stuck in my head).

That would suck. Instead of driving to midnight launches, I usually walk the 5km to the shops at around 10PM with my friends. It is awesome as we just talk about random shit the whole way there, untill about a minute before we go in it hits us that we are about to pick up some amazing, long awaited game. The walk back is just a big load of excitement, it makes the whole experience memorable.

It's hard to say really. You'd think that if the new consoles don't come out at the end of this year, they would come out at the end of next year, as surely MS and Sony would want their console primed and ready right before Christmas, the time of year when money comes second to gifts/happiness from material things.
Either way,I'll be getting both, but the 2nd one to come out might need to wait a bit that is all.

I usually read digital foundry and lens of truth if I care that much. At least in my experiences IGN are sub-par for comparisons, with DF being the best of the 3. Although DF loves to point us in the direction of PC lol.
Your opinion is appreciated, and I fully agree. I understand that there are a few cases where it fits, but I can't recall the last time I read a bad preview, but I remember reading a crap-tonne of bad reviews. Agree with the guy. How is it that games journalists play an early build of a game, and hype it up to the world, saying how great it is, then come review time they say it sucks? No credibility.
