That is such a small part of the interview. Everything else he talks about, dedicated servers, narrative, finding the sweet spot for mp and single-player, is actually great info and insight into developing gears 3 and finding the best ways to end the trilogy.

I agree. It's the same with the 3DS. When I asked some of my friends if they were getting the 3DS, they just told me, "No, it's just a DS that plays in 3D, right?"
Sure, the recognition in the names are there, but you have to think that many people will primarily think that it's just a modified version of the current Wii and DS.

I definitely agree with you about the trailer. I feel the trailer could have been at a slower pace. Rather than the chief just bursting out, the end of the trailer should have revealed a glimpse of the chief's visor in the tube and left his official reveal for a future trailer.

A prequel would actually be great, but I think gears 3, in a cut-scene, already tells you why marcus was thrown in prison.
