Seeing how ICO and SOTC from the PS2 era are two of my all-time favorite games, it goes without saying how anxious I am for The Last Guardian. I actually bought my PS3 in anticipation of TLG but had to settle for the ICO/SOTC remaster. I've done my best to avoid any spoilers up to this point, so I will avoid as much gameplay footage as possible. I was somewhat concerned after reading some initial previews, but I'm happy to hear that the posters above are satisfied and excited by the...
This isn't about entitlement when it comes to a corporate conglomerate like LG with the time and resources to at least provide an official statement/clarification if not an actual solution which Samsung and Sony have already attempted to provide to their customers of their 4K HDR TV sets. The fact is that many LG 2016 OLED owners are avid gamers who invested a significant sum of money expecting to use their tv's for a good number of years anticipating 4K HDR gaming. The input lag i...
Can't even use any of the pump action shotguns on PS4. They simply won't fire under any conditions with R2. Also wish we could see the scoreboard after each completed stage of Operations instead of just the final stage. Also, sometimes there will be no end of the game scoreboard/achievements regardless and will simply return to the menu. Also incredible lag scrolling any menus in game or at the end of the game. Not being able to customize outside the game is inconvenient and somet...
Main two are 1) Medics who don't heal or revive and 2) Squad leaders who think it must just be coincidence they're listed first in the squad and have a pretty little star next to their names i.e. They don't mark objectives despite multiple requests and pleas on the mic with specific directions on how to do so. Honorable mention: squad members who completely ignore the objective constantly and do their own thing.
I've been hollering to high heaven about my love for Bad Company 2 as the best FPS I have ever played and at the same time lamenting about the absence of a worthy and proper follow up. Although I put a fair amount of hours in BF3/4, nothing ever seemed to come close to the magic of BC2's multiplayer.....until BF1. I had my doubts playing the BF1 beta, but after playing the final release version, those doubts have been put to rest. While I feel like BC2 was like catching lightning in...
While this may very well turn out to be true, I suspect a large percentage of IW sales will be due to the inclusion of the MW remaster. It's quite telling that Activision decided to exclusively bundle MW to compensate for the utter lack of quality, polish, and innovation of IW. After playing the beta myself, I was astounded by how unenjoyable it was when compared to other FPS's like BF1 and Overwatch.
Moreover, even hardcore COD youtubers are publicly railing agai...
What was the benefit of using racist broken English to make your point? It certainly wasn't humor or wit.
I wanted to love BF1 after hearing comparisons with BFBC2, but it somehow feels and plays worse than any of the Battlefields since BC2 IMO. The controls feel clunky and vehicles seem far too OP along with snipers. Furthermore, the map design feels uninspired and leaves much to be desired with little to no cover outside of the town area. Sinai map unlike previous BF maps doesn't seem to have the intelligent design that encourages interesting and strategic standoffs between the opposing ...
I had immense expectations for DSII, but was let down in so many ways upon playing it and giving it a good run. Unfortunately, it was inferior to DS(both Dark and Demon's) in nearly every way. There was no cohesion or wonder of exploring an interconnected world. The map design felt uninspired and unremarkable. Same goes for the enemy/boss design in which the bosses were mostly just bigger versions of the basic mobs. The difficulty wasn't so much in the creativity of the mob types...
Having played Bad Company 2, BF3, BF4 + all expansions for over 100 hours each, not only is BFBC2 far and away the best in the series, it is quite possibly the best FPS I have ever played. Honestly felt like everything afterward was a regression apart from graphical fidelity.
Destruction, audio, map design, map/mode synergy, controls/handling, free DLC maps, squad/team cooperation, holy sh1t moments!!! and my precious M1 Garand...BFBC2 had it all in spades.

Resident Evil 1: the dogs bursting through the windows in the hallway was my first video game jump scare. The novelty combined with true survival horror tropes made it the scariest game I had played till that point.
Before then, I'd say Shadowgate along with Uninvited on the NES. Though point and click and 8-bit, the dark mood and mystery coupled with the ominous soundtrack made it a suspenseful and frightful experience.
Silent Hill 1-2 were great for t...

Tear Jerkers
-The last scene of the last episode of The Walking Dead Season 1.
-The ending of Shadow of the Colossus due to the tie in with Ico and his origins.
Honorable Mentions
-Ico and the build up culminating right before the last scene.
-Journey.
I am fed up with DICE and EA. I have been a hardcore supporter with well over a 1000 hours combined in all the iterations since Bad Company 2 on PS3(still the best in the console series IMHO) and have forked over the additional $50 for both Premium memberships. It is clear DICE has "sold out" if you will to EA and has been pressured/forced into releasing inferior/unfinished products for the sake of annual profits and earnings. It's simply inexcusable dating back to the launch...
I pre-ordered my PS4 from Amazon immediately following Sony's announcement from Corea and have been enjoying myself (minus the sticking R1) ever since. My friend decided he wanted one shortly before the U.S. launch, and needless to say, was unable to secure a console. The announcement of the Corean release date came with little fanfare and we both assumed given the PC gaming centric focus here, there would be sufficient supply on and after the launch date. We couldn't have been mor...
I don't know what's worse: the fact that you refer to your Korean ex-girlfriend as a "thing" , or that 16 people agree with you. Seeing how you're obviously not Korean, but still potentially Asian, I'm going to stop short of throwing out the word Asiaphile. However, I will reprimand you on grounds of objectification and grammar violations; unless of course your real name is Keith Murray.
I agree with most of what has already been said. Nevertheless, having played the DLC, there were some minor improvements to the gameplay in part due to the nature of playing a different main character. Also, I must say, of all stereoscopic 3D games I have attempted to play, the Enslaved DLC had one of, if not the best application of 3D to date. I specifically cite the DLC since the main game had 3D patched into it, while it seemed as though the DLC was designed from the ground up with 3D i...
It would appear as though the only thing about this program and its participants that is actually Japanese is the game Rhythm Heaven itself. Though I live in Korea, this is the first time I've seen this show. I'm surprised to see that they have somewhat high profile idol groups as guests. Curious to see if they have more "involved" games played with consoles other than the Wii.
Always loved the idea of remote play, which was one of the many incentives that factored into purchasing my vita. However, the lack of proper L2/R2 triggers(despite the rear touch pad) and L3/R3 buttons concerns me as it relates to games designed for the PS4 and its respective controller.
Now if they only investigate and address the issue with higher ping post 1.04 that some including myself are experiencing. It's been frustrating to say the least along with the downgrade with the PS4 Pro. Though I love the core gameplay, I find myself playing much less of BF1 and will continue to do so until they release the next patch that will hopefully address these issues.
