MW3 is really MW2.5 so it's the same damn engine with new spark plugs and an oil change.
BF3 is using a true next gen engine. So even at it's worst on consoles it will still look at the very least look like Bad Co 2 does now on a PC in addition to better lighting, animations, bigger maps, more vehicles, macro and micro destruction etc.

Well I know someone who works for Infinity Ward and was told in the outmost confidence and secrecy that the new updated engine will be getting a couple of "major upgrades " this time around like:
1. 2 more red exploding barrels ( which brings up the total to a whopping 4 ! )
2. MP maps 6 times as big as you average 2 car garage (MW2 maps where 3-4 times as big as your average 2 car garage. )
3. Destruction in MP but limited to ( windows, stationary ...

Not sure what you've been smoking dude but first, BF3 will be on PC and consoles and on PC it will run 60 FPS+ depending on the rig. Second on consoles it will be 24 players and 64 on PC. I'll take a 30fps game with huge maps full of destruction and vehicles over a 60 fps game with garage sized maps that look like painted plywood and no destruction or vehicles.
