I love Total Warhammer II, and can't wait for the next installment, the game is looking epic.
GOW Ascension multiplayer was criminally underrated, it was so much fun and a great attemt at innovation for Sony Santa Monica. Similarly, Killzone 3 was, and still is a great game, sure it did not reach the lofty hights of Killzone 2, but it was still a graphical and showpiece and had great characters. I so hope Guerilla Games (and Sony) keep the Killzone universe alive. There are so many games that have failed to reach the hights of these games - even Uncharted 3 went on to sell over 6 mill...
I think one of the concerns from the Beta that DICE haven't yet addressed is how the vehicles control. There was alot of feedback especially about the jets and helicopters, and as far as I know DICE haven't said anything about resolving the issues that ppl had with them.
I think the new Portal trailer / blog has put the minds of alot of BF fans to rest. The amount of customisation is quite staggering, and therefore the options for replayability truly feels endless. And this is just with launch day content - no doubt new maps and modes will eventually get released - I'm sure they've got plans for BF4 maps and content down teh line.
I have to say BF2042 is looking quite good, and I for one am quite excites. I don't know if I'l...
It will defianely still have some bugs and issues at launch, so I think it's a good thing that EA are offering a 10 hour free trial when the game launches. Technically everyone can try it for free before buying, but tbh for many of the 7+ MIllion people who played the beta, and who are most likely long standing Battlefield fnas, I'm guessing EA already have alot of pre-orders.
You're rght that there are still unanswered questions about Portal, but tbh I think the pro's by far outweight any con's that the community perceives.
For example, the steep learning curve is a natural filter - which means ghat in a couple of months time it'll be the persistent creators that will still be posting content, while the regular consumer is just hapy to use the server code to play that content. Similarly a lack of persistent servers means that th...
Now I'm hyped... let's go!
You obviously didn't pay attention to the financial results that Sony released. The Playstation divisio is Sony's most profitable inthe whole company; so why would they just throw that to the wind? There's no chance.
Well... that's not surprising. It's CDPR we're talking about here.
100% agree with you here. Loved 3 way more than 4. Honestly I think the launch issues put me off 4 for a long time.
Creative Assembly are on a roll with their Warhammer III coverage. It looks awesome, shame it had to be delayed, but from what we can see the changes to game mechanics and improvements from TWHII are extensive. I can't wait.
Brilliant game, well deserved, the soundscapes were awesome.I loved the regional voice acting, I think more games need to do this instead of the usual american or british accents (Final Fantasy I'm, looking at you).
That music tho......
I get that the Devs have said it's not BR, and I honestly hope it's like Escape from Tarkov, but tbh after the BETA fiasco, I'm so not convinced. The new game mechanics, movement speed, specialists, Map size etc etc all look lke they have been designed for BR game mode much more than a classic Battlefield game play.
Check out this article, it seems senior management specifically wanted 2042 to be more like COD Warzone, and that's why most of the classic Batt...
So sounds like Hazard Zone is basically BR squads. Hmmm... sounds like damage control to me. Especially with the thumb nail of a new skin for Maria Falk - I presume... or is it a new specialist. The Beta left such a bad taste that honestly they need to come out and say what they are going to be addressing before launch. People are saying that Portal will carry the game through, but honestly some game mechanics are so poorly impimented that it'll just end up ruining the overall experience....
You all forgot Dead Space Extraction.
It honestly baffles me. They have the same code and the same engine, so why can't basic mechanics from prevouse BF games get ported over to the new game. Why start from scratch every time? Suyrely that's not time or cost efficient int eh long run. At this rate I would prefer a remaster of BF3 & BF4. I've gone back to BFV, becasue right now, that's the best Battlefield experience, much better than 2042 at least.
The reason you should not be a sniper and a medic at the same time is that, the medic is meant to go around healing their team - not just themsleves. As a sniper you're not really supposed to be in the thick of the action at close range, but as a medic you are.
Being a Sniper and a medic, you're basically taking a healing setup that is meant to benefit the team and using it only for yourself. That's exactly what's wrong, as it breaks team work. Might as well...
Yeah unfortunately 2042 is a travesty of what Battlefield shoud be. DICE desperately need to stop chasing after the COD fanbse and just lean into their own fanbase. I've never seen a developer who consistently ignores it's core fabase in pursuit of those who won't even put the time into the game. It's as though DICE got a whole load of COD and Apex legends payers and asked them what they would like in a Battlefield game; and then they never bothered to ask the actual Battlfiel...
Bugs were to be expected a launch. Hopefully they get patched sooner rather than later.
