HD DVD scores a point but What about when Pirates 3 and Spiderman 3 come out exclusivly on blu ray? I'll probably just rent 300 on Blu ray because I have a PS3. I've never been the type to buy DVD's for $20 and keep them laying around. Now if I happen to love the the feature beyond believe or something maybe I'll consider buying it.

Ony 30% of console owners use them for DVD, but 42 percent of those who have broadband enternet have downloaded a movie? 42 is higher than 30, so download is the future? I don't get it? People aren't smart enough to know their PS3 and XBOX 360 play DVD's but they are smart enough to download a movie?
Do they have their XBOX 360 in the living room or in the bedroom?
Why pay $25, I would never buy DVD's either. Once in a while you pick up a sales on used DVDs for $5 or something. But to me really what matters is renting. That's how I see all latest movies unless I saw it at the theater. So renting is important to me, I think blockbuster carrying more Blu ray movies will help start bring it more to the masses.
PS3 incresing sales? It's not a bad thing. I don't think. I myself believe the PS3 is just a slow starter.
Gundam Demo, This game was one of the well recieved PS3 games in Japan. There's a small chance I might buy it if the demo is good. GTAIV trailer, of course I will download that.
I got the same feeling reading the article, it seemed outdated. Haven't they been keeping up? PS3 is showing some promise. It's almost like they need to have their PS3 good news day and there XBOX 360 good news day. What better way to start a flame article than rubbing in the PS3 slow start. It seemed a little forced to me.
If Killzone is a good game yeah it will have good gameplay also obviously. But story? Come on... Halo doesn't have a good story. Final Fantasy X has a good story.
So much depends on blu ray, that's the main reason the console is overpriced. That has a lot to do with why PS3 is slow in sales.
I don't think PS3 will dominate but if Blu ray goes, I think PS3 will be right there with XBOX 360 in the long term of 4 or 5 years.
Didn't see much gameplay on there, just cutscenes. It looked pretty good but again it was just mostly cutscenes.
PS3 isn't doing so well, NO SH*T!! But obviously PS3 has also been fighting the HD format war that HD DVD should of won, started off overpriced with lackluster games.
Things are looking up, Blu ray is doing well once HD video becomes more demanded the PS3 blu ray player will actually be an asset not a burden that is just making the console overpriced. And of course great games and online improvments are coming, haven't you been keeping up with the other news?

I've seen better videos, and you used recyled scenes from an old Lair video that I have downloaded on my PS3.
I think the games graphics look amazing, the cutscenese look not amazing but ridiculous amazing. My only gripe is the ground combat looks kinda dynasty warriors. But other than that I think anyone who says it's not impressive is just an XBOX 360 fanboy. Sadly that's how things are. This game looks more next gen than Bioshock and Halo 3, so why are XBOX 360 fanboys talking sh*t? I didn't play Halo 3 beta but a lot of people have mixed feelings about it.
PS3 won't always suffer, I would think some games will be lead developed on PS3 in the future. Look at Haze and Unreal plus I've heard a few other developers say this also like Sega with Rally Car
7.8 VS 7.7, seriously IGN? It's the same game, some people make a killing off fanboy fights it seems. If you look at IGN's breakdown in categories like presentation and sound it's the same, they just decided to take a .1 off the final score of the PS3 version. What a joke. Fanboys are everywhere.

I would go with Lair over anything on XBOX 360. The game looks badass, dragons look all full of scales. It's got better graphics than Halo 3. And I'm a fan of medievil style era's. Been waiting for this one for a while.
Another way to look at it, Black Snake moan on HD DVD is # 267 in all DVD sales, on Blu ray it's # 307. Black Snake Moan is HD DVD's 3rd best seller. For Blu ray Black snake moan is it's 8th best seller.
I don't agree with the guy below me, because I think blu ray has a bigger selection so not everyone is buying Black Snake Moan or Planet Earth. But I guess it's all just opinions.

Yeah HD DVD Planet Earth and Black Snake Moan are selling more than the Blu ray version. BUT NOT BY MUCH. And Blu Ray has a larger selection of movies. If you look at the # 4 and # 5 selling on Blu ray you will find Bridge of Tiblerilm whatever sales rank 173, and Ghost Rider sales rank 224. Now of you go and look at the # 4 on HD DVD, they got Batman Begins SALES RANK 553. And number 5 on HD DVD is hot fuzz, I won't even bother to look at the sales rank.

they just had to carry 2 each, anymore than that and they wouldn't be able too run. So it makes sense.
But if Blu ray continues to have success, yeah eventually they might go blu ray also.
I think it ends next week when Ninja Gaiden Sigma comes out. That's a quality game. The only knock some people will say is that it's not original, that it's a remake of an XBOX game. XBOX version didn't have High Definition graphics and it's a great game a lot of people didn't play. No it's not Lair but it still counts as a quality game.
