I finished the demo using a controller. Only silver time on the final test but I'll get gold eventually :).
Improvement over GT5 so far but only evolutionary. Kind of feels how GT5 should have been to start with.
My thoughts...a few comparisons to Forza 4 which I think is fair as its the nearest console competition.

Graphics engine has a smoother look, lighting is great esprcially time of day.

This is silly.
Both will be my next gen - eventually. Why deprive myself of the best that each can offer just because some hit seeker journos seem obsessed with drawing battle lines to force gamers to pick a side like that is the normal thing to do.

It is a negative for the few in Japan who have to wait but I don't blame MS for deciding this.
Is stock and supply is limited initially then concentrate it to your strongest and most important markets first to get a good foothold then release in Japan a bit later.

People seem to do it now as a normal part of buying a game. Preorders were supposed to allow you to reserve a copy in an expected short supply situation.
I want the game on Xbox but won't pre order unless it's necessary.

MS are not advertising this themselves. they are not trying to one up Sony. This has come from an unconfirmed source.

I agree except maybe in some slight features of the best AAA 1st party games, but for most day to day stuff the devs will no doubt keep it quite similar.

Potentially good news for all as it will mean the consoles are closer together than we thought. Think about it you don't want the One to be too much weaker as it could affect the standard of multiplats.

There is 70M Xbox 360s out there with at least 40M on Live. MS wouldn't be very smart to crap on their potential upgrade user base by forgetting 360 and developers aren't suddenly going to ignore such a large user base either. Expect to see EA etc. releasing software on PS3 and 360 for at least the first 1-2 years of next gen.

I like Forza 4 but this guy is annoying. He went on and on about sorting the class system in forza 4 but it was still a half job. You can't race s700 without noobs using Lotus and the online lobbies are soooo slow.
If Forza is going to be a sim and not drift toward arcade ( which I fear it's doing) then they need to address the points about lack of weather, day/night cycle etc. To not include these features in a next gen game is shocking and gives GT more credibility ...

Fair enough and I didn't agree with the DRM either but they removed it due to the backlash so at least there is some hope. I'm certainly not ignorant of it or going to give them my money if the product is crap.
