No.
I started with a 20GB Xbox and now have a 250 where I have to manage space from installs. My PS3 has a 320 in it and that's now chocka.
Battlefield 3 takes up well over 20GB of space alone.
Not allowing a user upgradable hdd in the XB1 is a mistake in my opinion. The only saving grace would be if the OS allowed connection to a NAS drive for more than just streaming. I don't want loads of usb3 drives cluttering up the ports of my ...
@Kleptic...dude....Er I never suggested real time processing was possible, even in the near future. I said that potential features of cloud based computation might improve. Where did you get that from??? Excuse me for voicing an opinion!
My point ( which is correct) was that increasing Internet speeds will allow more data packets to be sent and received within a given timeframe over the life of the console. Latencies might also be reduced a bit by a move to fibre for local se...
Xbox.
Based on the general comments I see on N4G in any article mentioning Xbox Ones tv features, the potential PS4 owners only want to play games. As they will only be playing games and don't want their console to become a media hub then I guess the Xbox will become known as the main under tv box.
I was just about to say the same thing lol.
Although I'm too lazy to get off my chair to do it :)
He does seems to know what hes doing but he is the public face of a much bigger team that does all the hard work and still answerable to his far eastern overlords.
The amount of worship of him already from certain parts of the community for a product that isn't even out yet is a bit strange to say the least. Reminds me of Monty Python - The messiah is coming. He is a project manager not a saint.
If the PS4 is a success then congrats to him and his extend...
The word is the memory bandwidth of the system has been improved in the final production yields. See DF article.
As for marketing BS - yes it could be, but I'm not so sure that MS would spend so much money and talk so much about it and risk it being a complete non starter. They really don't need any more bad PR.
I think for the first round of titles and apps the features will be very minor with the option to use offline. As the console develops and th...
He is the worlds best 'plumber' ;-)
+1 for a balanced and intelligent comment Blachek.
I completely agree. We shouldn't write it off as PR until MS can demonstrate how/why it boosts the capabilities.
I'm very curious as to how this will develop as MS are putting significant resources into their data hubs around the world.
First comment Kurian and you mention PS+.........
What has that got to do with this story about a free game on Xbox?
OT I will dl this as I didn't try it when it first came out. Better than nothing.
Not surprised. The first round of games almost need to be MS first party or funded in some way as any other big title developer will only release where they can guarantee return/profit.
That's the problem with modern big games. They cost to much in development to be risked on a new/small user base.
Because they love it. All for the craic.
It does seem somewhat strange that this chap is always talking about the hardware to the press, so much to the point where it almost seems like a PR offensive to convince potential customers that there can be only one choice.
Clever really as he's talking to the early adopters who often are motivated by hi tech and power and I guess getting them to buy first to install an initial user base is the first objective.
MS on the other hand are very quiet. Are t...
Fantastic so when idiots run me off the road in Forza on the first bend I can publish their crap driving and I can keep video mementos of when I tea bag an enemy in battlefield who's been annoying me.
Hehe it's there to be used and abused :)
Cool I remember walker. I had similar setup but used a cd32 as the A1200 part - see below :)
That's great but I already play Amiga games on my iPad using AmigaPad2 and a bluetooth controller although I'm limited to 1.3 compatible roms and no AGA on iPad.
Also use Amiga Forever on my PC.
As for kit I'm the very proud owner of some mint rarities:
A mint boxed A500+ cartoon classics pack that's used only on special occasions.
A loose A500+ that I use for general retro sessions.
A CD32 with SX1 expansion, ...
Cheers :)
I'm going to get a second job to buy a PS4 ;-))
And replace my small business water cooler :)
See its o.k to jest about both....
I wonder If it will be able to see my 1 wood when I say 'Xbox show whacking material'
;-))
Yeah apart from the localization reason that MS tout for the xbox I don't know why they cant get all the transformer into the box ala PS3. The xbox brick even on the newer slims is still far too big.
30 months!
That's incredible whatever way you look at at. Congrats to US gamers and MS.
Not sure what the balance is here in UK but think the market is similar to US with EU being more PS3...
