And to think I got disagrees and abuse when i said last year that Sony would eventually copy MS and charge for online access. ' Sony will never charge gamers to play multiplayer' was the cries I got. It was so obvious it would happen yet so many didn't want to believe it.

I had read somewhere that the logan chip could offer performance on a par with the RSX in the PS3. Amazing if true.

MS aren't known for being the cheapest especially when you consider the additional kit you will need such as chargers and extra controllers.
I hope they keep the package as it is with a Kinect included in all SKUs. It would be a step too far to remove it as it would then just be a PS4 in a bigger box with an HDMI in. After all when was the last time the PS4 Eye was mentioned.... its nearly forgotten about already.

Nothings really changed. You can unplug it at the cost of some features - I bet most people won't. Its still in the box. You will still need it for the voice and IR features. Devs still know that every Xbox One has a sensor.
The DRM reversal for me was the biggest thing and that was a good move.

Whilst I would love to see support for the Rift on the PS4 or Xbox I wouldn't like to see a Sony or MS branded licensed unit or copycat 'me too' product developed.
For me that would take something away from the genius and hard work of the Oculus team. To Joe public this headset would appear as a Sony invention when its not and credit where its due should be to Oculus.

Funny thing is we don't actually KNOW enough about the hardware in either machine to make a sound judgement. MS and Sony have not released full detailed specs of all internal components.
The media seems to have decided as fact that the rumored differences are final but we don't really know yet. Yes I expect the PS4 GPU will be superior but we don't know enough about the rest of the hardware to make meaningful and accurate assessments.

It does seem rather fashionable to critique every little thing MS does at the moment. I mean a story about the power brick - really? No clicks from me.
I couldn't care less if PS4 or Xbox have or don't have a brick. It's not a portable, it's going to sit in my tv cabinet and the brick will be well out of sight.
The brick looks a similar size to the one which ships with the S 360.
I wanted one before seeing this video. I definitely want one now. It might be a box but it's a neat looking bit of kit.

Fair enough, and thanks for the discussion, but I think the real value proposition of each remains to be seen as there are still some unknown quantities for the next gen. By your rational it sounds like Sony have almost had to bribe subscribers with the 'free' games in order justify what they were doing and/or convince you that it's better 'value' than XBL which up until recently has had a vastly better infrastructure in my opinion.
