Interesting that it's the multiplats that are leading each consoles list.
As for machines I think MS is paying the price for a botched reveal. I'm sure they will bounce back once the machine is out and we can see how good it is.
Sony off to a flyer.
I think its a bit early for you to be saying that its rubbish unless you have used it already??
I use the Kinect v1 for head tracking in Forza 4, video chat with my brother overseas and voice control. If you have things set up correctly it works very well. The head tracking in cockpit view is great.
Wow that's amazing.
I was just being lazy and auto renewing each year but then my friend told me about this site in the UK where you can get good discounts. £25.99 for a 12 month card is a good deal and I got my code within an hour.
Nobody needs pay £39.99 for gold in the UK.
Bang on Belking!
They are both as bad as each other but your examples are very true.
I would add...
Cross game chat
Party system
custom game soundtracks (think MS did this first)
But for Sony where MS followed If I'm being fair:
Blu ray
1080p (xbox launched as 1080i)
HDMI
3D???
Point is they both do it.
I think MS have done the righ...
I'm in a similar frame of mind to Zblacktt and Kuse.
I love my 360 and only use my Ps3 for the odd exclusive and as a Blu Ray/Netflix box. All multi plats are on Xbox because most were better and its where my friends are.
For the next gen I intend to do the same. I don't want to pay for two online subs so I'll stick with my 6 year Xbox Live tenure and get the Xbox One at launch for Forza 5 and BF4 and the free FIFA 14. I think the Xbox One is real...
Yeah I'm sure when you first sign into live on the One there will be a XBL terms of service update that you will have to agree to. We will have to watch that they don't put in any caveats that might allow this in the future.
I also don't think it will happen but this is MS after all and I trust them as little as I do Sony or any other large company.
Ooooh bitchy!
A serious piece of engineering. Hard to produce now but the long term benefits will be huge once they bring it's costs down, shrink it and improve yields even further.
It certainly explains why they need such a large heatsink and fan.
@Dirty
You just served Gaelic. Nicely done :)
I for one would pay a few quid to watch a mass fanboy bundle deathmatch.
Chuck Maria and Day Z in there along with a few of the well known Xbox devotees and let them have at it!
It would be like the final scene of Kick Ass 2.
Gotta be good for a laugh.
The rest of us can then go buy one/both systems in peace.
Pre ordered my Xbox one last night. Free FIFA 14 and will get BF4 and Forza 5.
Quite happy with my choice so far. No concerns about hardware after all it's at least 6 times better than what I played BF3 on last night.
Might need a new TV though as my Bravia only supports 1080i :(
On topic I love reading about the silicon. There is plenty of performance in there and it will be interesting to see how it stacks up against the PS4s raw numbe...
I think that was more than 2 cents worth :)
As Harry Enfield used to say in a brummie accent.
I (MS) have considerably, considerably more money than yow (Sony)
Great deal.
That's the bundle that would interest me when/if the time comes early next year.
Funny how everyone seems happy it includes the camera they supposedly don't/never want. Its a gimmick, what about privacy? I thought they said...
Shortage is a relative term to demand. They can make all the systems they want but if the demand is high enough you will always get a shortage.
I don't think they will be able to make them fast enough and that's not a bad thing just representative of that demand. Same goes for MS.
It does show you just how good Forza 4 really is.
Can't wait for 5. Big improvements to the lighting and the resolution/AA
@CMK0121
How do you know RedTube needs flash????
;-)))
Very impressive considering that its on current gen hardware. The PS3 must be getting ragged to push this out.
Fair play PD.
Bubble up.
Well said. It's nice to see that there are a few unbiased and sensible individuals on this site after all.
Hope you enjoy your PS4.
Thinking about this articles title and the videos of Xbox one playing games at Gamescom actually raises a question.
Have we actually seen a ps4 physically working running a game yet? Did they have rows of them working at Gamescom with no bs as MS clearly did?
Serious question not trying to be funny. A YouTube link or something would be appreciated.
Just thought this as I've not seen one working in the hands of the public yet.
