I don't think they are bad but the developer has been open about the fact that they are using a modified version of the source engine and are not employing many of the latest rendering effects and features to keep the performance up.
Very similar to what they did with CoD. Take an old engine (Quake) and modify it to provide the fastest game play whilst not perhaps the best looking.
As a guy who is nearing 40 as well and has a 2 yr old I actually get what your saying. I'm surprised you are getting so many disagrees (obviously people who don't share our predicament).
You don't need to use Kinect to do any of that. Everything in the OS can be done with the controller as before. You can even unplug it now If you wish.
I myself will mainly use controller when the wife and daughter are at home. The voice stuff and head tracking in...
I think this system is going to surprise a lot of people, especially a few select 'gamers' on this site who spend most of their time and bubbles ripping into an as yet unreleased product in MS related threads.
Just give us a UK release date please so we can judge for ourselves.
The games will do the talking. This one is already for Xbox and MS.
Xbox is the key to getting MS and windows into every living room. I hardly think they will sideline it.
That's just bollocks. Man the F up.
It's more likely my thumbs will do damage to the controller if the 360 pad is anything to go by. I've worn the rubber/plastic off the left sticks on two controllers now and it didn't do me any harm.
Fox I will see you online :-)
XB1 + F5 = no social life until Jan.
For an old skool blaster this is looking very impressive.
We have come a long way since r-type and xenon 2 megablast :)
Stunning looking so far.
I'm really interested to see a technical breakdown of this game.
Why the wait? Such a feature should be from the go. That's only what would be said if MS or Nin made this announcement.
Gunpowder, Treason and Plot....
That sound quality is massively improved. Cool.
Great to get even a small something back for all those hours put into the Forza games.
It wont take long for them to add the other localizations I'm sure.
Lets not make a big thing out of this because its not and will not affect the overall use of the console. Chances are the people making a thing out of this wouldn't use it anyway or is just another excuse for negative spin.
As for UK some of our accents are quite strong. I'm from Norfolk but don't sound like a bumpkin and my Kinect can deal with the locals here in Essex as we...
Cheers. I'll look out for some vids.
Has there been any confirmed Xbox One footage of BF4 released yet?
Seen plenty of pc stuff but want to know how it shapes up on Xbox.
Pre-ordered mine from MS direct. Only way to be sure :)
Stock situation seems good so far. Tesco also showing stock of day one. I guess reducing the number of launch countries has helped although that's no consolation to those missing out.
UK FTW.
The fact is that young teens and preteens shouldn't be playing these games. Why do parents allow under 18s to play 18 or R rated stuff?
If your kids are 15-17 that's not as bad but many children under 10 get access to this stuff. Who buys it for them.....chav parenting.
Young children have been known to imitate what they see. The Bulger case here in UK a few years back was a good example.
I'm astonished at what is allowed in a 12 ...
I certainly hope you and your source are correct. I look forward to hearing more and the custom silicon certainly has caught my attention.
I'm a little sceptical as a lot of what is being claimed just sounds too incredible to be true. I treat as rumour for now.
XB1 preordered already and I feel better about that every day.
This has been reported already and this is the second article I have seen from this submitter on the same subject.
In the UK we use the term 'shit stiring'.
On topic it is most dissapointing that console versions are not being shown on their target hardware in a decent state. It would be good to know at this stage how close they are likely to be to the fantastic PC visuals we have seen. Given the known availability of Xbox one kits that we have seen ...
