I thought this was reported to be a 1080/60 game. Amazed if not as I saw it at Eurogamer and wasn't impressed at all. PS4 should be able to eat this game for lunch and then ask for seconds...
I guess the size of the drives cache will also be a factor.
Well I will be unfortunately as I have an X1 on order. Expandable storage via high speed USB 3.0 will help but I'd much rather just stick a chocking great drive in and forget about it. I'm sure MS have a reason but right now I can't figure that decision.
Er what?
I want a bloody adaptor to use my existing TB at launch. I don't want to be forced to buy a new headset.
That would really piss me off.
Sounds like a bit of a cheapo hdd. Agree with most here that 5400 rpm is sluggish for a modern console and is that SATA3 as well???? Its almost like they expect you to change it so have just gone with the basic drive to keep costs down. Bet that APU and GDDR5 is eating all the money up.
I should point out for balance that I wouldn't be surprised If MS is also using a slow drive (although I hope they aren't). Reason I say this is because the loading times for some of t...
@majiebeast
These games are not half finished in my view having played them myself already.
Your quote is not always true. How does that explain the launch condition of GT5 then which was delayed and unfinished/bad?
So this would suggest that the game I played at Eurogamer was an older build?
Nice. The co-op multiplayer was a blast.
But we keep getting told how easy it is to develop for by all these devs. Even Cerny loves telling us how simple and dev friendly the hardware is........
Something doesn't add up. DriveClub has been in dev for a long time and they knew the launch window.
I think problems are arising from when devs are getting final hardware. They have been using dev kits quite late into proceedings.
Love to be a fly on the wall sometimes.
Mate I've played it. DriveClub is many things but a 'sim' isn't one of them.
Leave that to GT.
F**ckin hell. This will hit 1000deg in no time.
So the rumours were correct. I'm surprised because the game wasn't in bad shape when I played it although it was on a dev kit and had a few minor bugs.
Some rumours I've seen suggest that devs are having some driver/optimisation troubles with PS4 but we will see on that I guess.
Shame for PS4 and that's coming from an mainly Xbox player. I do think it's poor that they build s...
Was that necessary?
Yeah I like that they give you the option and the method of entry looks quite funky as well.
I guess over time owners will be able to stick in massive drives.
Do we know the file system support for this console yet? PS3 was fat32 I think and had limitations for file size and external drive partitions. I liked putting video onto my PS3 but didn't like the 4.3gb restriction.
One feature that I wish xbox had kept. Not sure why they would wan...
@toddybad
LOL!
You just made me nearly spit out my breakfast.
:)
I guess it could get tedious if you just button mash but the fun is in learning the combos and stringing them together to make even more elaborate free flow combat.
A bit like the feeling you get in Batman when you single handed take out 20 guys although in the case of Ryse its a lot less and a bit more weight and clunk to proceedings. It really feels like you are wielding a heavy shield and sword.
The other fun part is playing it co-op with a mate as I did. ...
Its because we like empires :-)
And it sounds bloody hard as nails.
I think the developer may have watched 300 a few too many times as well.
This was from yesterday - catch up N4G!
It may be the game bugging out but If you have the French translated he says that the machine is very hot when he puts his hand over it and that you could use it as a heater in winter or something to that effect.
Odd issue to see really at this stage.
Holy cow!
I've played the MP gladiator pit co-op at EGX but nice to see some stunning story footage.
Bring it on.
Trust me its very good. BF4 would convince anyone if it was being shown like at EGX but Forza and RYSE also well worth it.
XB1 might be able to do Pong at 4K.
Eurogamer needed Sli 780's or Titans to test their 4K monitor and even then had to adjust settings to get anywhere near 60fps.

Oh yes sure but nothing helps in cod or BF like a well adjusted TB. Nobody sneaks up on me :)
