Hey I'm not bothered by it or want to believe it. I don't like the idea of ANY gamers having faulty kit at launch. I also fully understand that this probably only represents a small percentage of sales, but we are only 1 day in and this small percentage is quite vocal. The videos speak for themselves. This is bad PR and Sony need to step up and deal with it in the open rather than just palming it off as expected failure rate. The 1.5 update appears to be not fully bullet proof.
I see Maria is restricted to just posting stories these days rather than spewing pro Sony nonsense. I'm glad people are enjoying their PS4s but I can't believe how quiet it is on here about the issues which seem considerable. I've seen so many vids of bricked consoles.

If it had been an MS boss saying that and he got found out it would make 10 trillion degrees on here in no time. MS aren't perfect I know but Sony are really on a limb here. I just don't trust them anymore.

I've used 1080i over hdmi for years. My 40" Bravia is 1080i or 1366x768 over VGA. I used to use component (I like the image quality) but switched to hdmi when I got my 360 S
It matters to me. I don't want to use 720p.
I'm surprised the scaler can't do me a 1080i output....

My Sony Brava only supports 1080i as top res. I didn't want to buy new tv because it's a great set with good sound.
Oh well, guess I'll have to as I wouldn't want to use 720p on a 40" screen.

Very interesting interview but frustrating for all concerned that NDAs and impartiality means he can't really say what the real deal is.
In that respect such interviews become almost pointless as a tech discussion.

I wouldn't expect a cross gen title like this to take full advantage of any of the new consoles hardware. The developer is trying to please too many formats.
No excuse why there should be any performance issues on the next gen hardware other than inexperience or non mature tools. PS4 is more than capable. The embargo on X1 version reviews does sound great. It either because its better overall than PS4 or a complete disaster.

It's a great number of cars but is it possible that they have ALL been crafted to the premium standard? I can't see how they could have them all up to that standard. I hope I'm wrong.
Forza has what 350-400 at ultra high quality and they started forza 5 2 years ago. PP would have to have a huge team to get all those to premium.

I never used the cd rip feature myself. Just played my custom soundtracks in test drive and horizon using a plug in hdd or my iPod.

My launch 360 was 20GB. My current 360 is 250GB. That's just over 12x storage and it's not enough. My PS3 has 320GB and it's full.
X1 storage is going to last 5 mins. Hope we can use a fast USB 3.0 drive or NAS.
