If the PS3 is capable of more effects as you say (and I agree), then why would the Xbox 360 be capable of better weather, better ai, more effect at the same time? Better AI is more related to the processor, of which the Cell more than trumps the Xbox 360 processor. I seriously disagree that the Xbox 360 is capable of running more and better effects. Would that be why they're having to "dumb down" some textures for the Xbox 360 release of Prey, or why it can only handle 30 fps? W...
Yes, let's see a link. And are these standardized figures based on all of the completed Xbox 360 and PS3 games? Are they comparing a Xbox Live title to Final Fantasy XIII which has 50+ hours of gameplay? Break it down for everyone.
DMC4 is still a PS3 exclusive. The rumor was just that, a rumor.
The Darkness is PS3 as well.
So it's not cancelled, just not being worked on at this time. That just means they're focusing on PC and Xbox 360 (possibly a timed exclusive) and then will port it to PS3. Wii won't get it unless it's watered down quite a bit. Hopefully I'll get to play this after all.
Since you're doing some copyying and pasting, I might as well join in.
Out of that XCrap 360 list, quite a few of those were already released on PS2 previously, of course they're not on PS3 (yet) as it's not out.
Call of Duty 3- will be on PS3 as well
Final Fantasy XI- Have fun with a several year old PS2 game that was upscaled and ported for XCrap 360.
Monster Madness- This is PS3 as well.
Tomb Raider Legend- I know this was on PS2, PSP,...
Too bad that this happened, but not surprising as they were probably building it primarily for PC, and Xbox 360 programming is pretty much the same so it would be easy to port to 360. Reworking it for the SPE's and RSX was probably not worth it for them. I was actually really looking forward to this on PS3. Oh well.
TheMART- Have you ever thought about the fact that not every game in production for PS3 has been announced? Were all the games you mentioned for Xbox 360 announced 6 months before launch? And I believe you're missing some of the PS3 games, is that list from last E3?

I don't have an HD tv yet, but don't most of them these days have an HDMI input and then have an optical output to send to your receiver?
@The Real Deal - After doing some research right now, I'm finding that 1080p at 24fps and 1080p at 30fps are the accepted standards by the ATSC. 1080p @ 50fps and 1080p @ 60 fps don't seem to be accepted by ATSC as of now. But isn't that more for over the air 1080p TV signals? I believe that 1080p was limited to 24 fps and 30 fps because i...
Yes, not everyone may need it, but Sony is giving people the OPTION to use 1080p if the game/movie supports it, unlike the 360. Aren't all you 360 owners all about options because supposedly MS is watching out for the "little guys" by having a lower priced console, but making you pay for features (wireless internet, multiplayer online services, etc) that are included for free in the PS3?
The 1080p functionality is not going to hurt anyone that has a 720p tv, and 72...
I believe that HDMI 1.3 will be able to support DTS-HD and Dolby-HD. These are supposed to be "loss-less" formats, therefore better than the current Dolby Digital and DTS (which both sound great to me). And it should look better than analog connections (the average person may not be able to tell too much of a difference until the studios move beyond 16 bit).
All in all this is good news, how relevant it is in the next year is probably nil, but in several years these...
He said $39-$59, so it sounds like the same as the Xbox 360. It's about what I expected, except that I don't expect any to be $39.99 unless they're party type games like Singstar, DDR, Eye of Judgment, etc. Most, if not all games, will probably be $59.99.
Riiiiiidge Racer! Had to do it..
So when Kojima manipulated the lighting in a particular scene at TGS last year, was that CGI? I'm asking rhetorical questions in this post, and in my previous one. Of course it's not, it's an in-engine cutscene. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. Nice discussion though. :)
I'm not Achira, and if I think this game looks nice then what is the big deal? Why do Xbox fans feel the need to comment on every single PS3 thread. I don't comment on every Xbox 360 thread as most of the time I just don't care about the games (OMG ANOTHR SH00T3R!).
Out of your last 10 comments, 3 have been accusing someone of being a fanboy. Isn't this the pot calling the kettle black? Hmm? If I think this game looks nice, I have the right to that opinion.
You agree with myself, or Achira? Personally I'm excited for Killzone PS3, Motorstorm, Warhawk, God of War PS3 (if/when they make it), new Naughty Dog game, new Ratchet and Clank game, Assassin's Creed.. There's more but I am about to pass out here at work (almost time to go!).
Looks like an Xbox 1 title to me. Not just saying that to start a flame war, it doesn't look half as impressive as some of the other shooters on the Xbox 360.
Screenshots look nice, this game looks a lot better in motion for sure.
You said it looks bad because the characters look like plastic dolls, and then you say that DOA looks much better. DOA is much worse than this as far as the plastic looking characters, IMO. DOA does look better though as far as a graphical standpoint, even though I could care less about either game.
Yes, but you're probably one of the same people that says that now Sony is ripping off Xbox live, even though online multiplayer has been done for years on PC's. Matchmaking, chat, voicechat, etc. has all been done for years. So if you say that MS is not ripping off Sony by copying their Eyetoy (which I don't think they are personally, I agree with you), then you would have to say that Sony is not ripping off Xbox live by coming up with a network platform that has matchmaking, unified gamer...
