Is this really going to be a Playstation 3 exclusive? I'm sorry, it just seems like Rockstar is going after the most money these days, and that is multiplatform... This trailer is nice though, I've always loved these types of movies so a game would be nice.

That's sweet news. Any free movies and or demos at launch is great. I wanted to see Talladega Nights when it was in the theater, but didn't get around to it so this would be nice. I would have thought that they would have gone with a movie that would have showed off the format more though..

Yeah it does make Sony fanboys (like #1) look dumb. This game looks incredible, but so does Gears of War. I don't know why people have to make fun of games on rival consoles so much, they're both going to be great games. The new HD videos on Gametrailers of Gears of War are insane. The only thing with it is that after watching it for a while I was wondering if I'd get bored doing the same thing forever. Run, duck, shoot, repeat, etc. The enemies AI was really good, and of course the eff...

I believe another Ratchet and Clank is in the works, but they probably haven't released more info on it due to the focus on Resistance: Fall of Man. I would almost bet money that there will be another Jak game, which would be sweet. I really enjoy their games.

Great article. Valve is going the right way in episodic content and has been pioneering that for several years, the other companies are following suit. Downloading episodic content like Valve does it is one thing, downloading an additional level that should have been included in the game is something else entirely. If publishers release a map pack or something that adds something substantial to the gaming experience, then 5 bucks may be worth it. Paying for cars and tracks is not the way ...

Good article, yes, they need a Major Nelson. Even though I can't stand the guy, Sony could use one. Why not get David Jaffe to do it? He works for Sony Santa Monica.. The only problem may be that he says whatever is on his mind and may not be a great PR person. There's Kojima, but they're not a Sony first party.

Of the main 3 execs (Phil Harrison, Kaz Kirai, and Ken Kutaragi) I would prefer Phil Harrison to be the guy as he's more of a gamer, but I think they should have s...

Oh they will, downloadable movies and or exclusive peaks at new movies (can anyone say Spiderman 3?). Sony has vast amounts of entertainment content that they can tap into and distribute online. They have music as well of course.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely getting a warranty. Gamestop and EB Games offer those, right? I know Best Buy does but I have no idea where I'll be able to find one.

I agree, maybe the people that were putting the fans in there thought it was the hardware and were blaming it on that, but it was probably just a buggy build of their game. Wasn't it all on the same one? I can't remember if it was the new Armored Core game or what it was, but I remember it being on the same game.

There will be buggy consoles at launch, for sure, but hopefully overheating isn't a problem for these. That being said, with the types of cabinets that they had the...

Something like that, I can't remember the exact time. Gotta love it when these third parties try to catch in on all the third party accessories.

Of course it's all coordinated, Sony is going to brand the PS3 with their TV's, isn't that common sense? The display pictures that have been linked all show Bravia 42" panels, which is a great 1080p tv, but for my money I would rather have one of their SXRD line. I am opting for this one though, http://reviews.cnet.com/Son... The TV linked in this article is just n...

I am one of the Sony supporters who gave you some credit (actually voted to let you speak), but there's always some haters out there. For every reasonable Xbox supporter like you, there's five Xbox fanboys foaming at the mouth (I had a name in here, but taking it out as it doesn't matter), likewise for Sony supporters. Lots of credit to you for keeping this discussion sane and reasonable (and for not voting lame on every PS3 article, like some people do).

I totally agree with you, except I'm more on the Sony side. The XBox 360 is a great machine, but not for me. It doesn't have the "future-proofing" as you say, that I am looking for. If you're an FPS fan, Xbox 360 is the console for you as it will have much more of them than the PS2 (at least for the foreseeable future). Glad you're enjoying your 360 and maybe I'll join you in a few years when the price is worth the console (to me).

About this article, I think pret...

And you know because you've played it? Have you seen any of the screenshots or gameplay footage? Editors on IGN, Gamespot, and 1up are saying that this is going to be the "killer ap" launch title for the PS3. You may not like that the PS3 has a great exclusive shooter, but can't you accept that both platforms will have great AAA games? Gears of War is one of them on the Xbox 360, and so is Resistance: Fall of Man.

In other news, Phil Harrison says that Resistance: Fall of Man is off the hook!!

No seriously, the game will be great and all, but what's with the "micro-review" by an MS Game Studios exec? Don't they realize this carries as much weight as if Cliffy B said that his game is the shiznit and everyone needs to play it? Everyone realizes that it's going to be THE title for the Xbox 360 this year, but this is just silly.

No, it's much better without fanboys. This site is starting to get better now that they're cracking down on this.

I can't watch the video here at work, possibly me being at work or maybe it's that the site is not working properly.

This is almost a month old, chances are if it's that old, then it's already been posted on this site as it's a gaming news site.

Zypher- Agreed. At least these are concrete numbers, not speculation. The important thing is that they are the same prices as the current gen games, if not cheaper. So, at least from the Japanese pricing, it doesn't appear to be the doom and gloom of $80-100 that some people had been predicting for the past few months. I am still thinking that US pricing will be $50-60. I am also still thinking that we'll see a lot more "special editions" in the gaming industry from all of the ...

Anyone else notice how scriptkiddie votes lame on every PS3 news item?

I saw this interview the other day, I thought he did a really good job, while acknowledging the critics that say that Sony's executives have been arrogant and addressing a lot of the concerns.

I could care less about Splinter Cell, I just don't like companies talking up exclusivity when it's not true. That's why I remain skeptical.
