I did read the review. Then I compared it to your other reviews. The grievances your "reviewer" had with the game were glossed over in other reviews.

That's literally what you do in EVERY shooter. The variations in the stages are very big. The foundry looks nothing like the gates of hell. The argent tower is nothing like the science facility. The secrets are all varied. The executions are in your complete control. The majority of weapons all have different functionalities. Funny thing is the pacing is perfect. Constant level changes. Exploration. Fast movement. Secrets. Great gunplay that changes throughout the game. New enemies until the end that all behave differently. 3 unique boss fights. Etc etc.
Said 2 people. Seriously. You guys need to give it up. Just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean it's overrated. The vast majority of gamers absolutely love it.

He's complaining about the addition. You still get health by shooting them. You just get more health by glory.
Even then the whole "I'm forced to use it cuz health" is a bad excuse. The original doom didn't have health drops so play it as the originals. It plays just like them without glory kills

$400 is hardly an investment. The psneo will have absolutely NO affect on the current install base. The system and games will be exactly the same aside from one performing slightly better and dropping the price of the original system.

Well it's not really a risk. They're being sold along side the ps4. The games will be the same but perform a little better on the updated system. It won't have anything to exclusive. There's no actual benefit to getting it other than enhanced performance. It's just a bonus for later adopters and those who want one.
It doesn't impact current ps4 owners in any way.
You would need strength scaling weapons in order to take full advantage of that. Even then, dodging is way more effective than armor. You forgot mentioning endurance to actually attack and block.
Those builds tend to fail because of a straight limited scope. Many enemies go down faster from other weapon builds.
Timing is key.
It does have a story with very unique characters. You have to do exploring to figure things out.
Ps4k isn't going to be a stronger console. It's going to be smaller and more efficient with 4K video capability and likely with the VR external box built in.

This is an unreal tournament / original doom style game. DOOM 3 was not.
