Completely agree. True driving forces for Nintendo.
Ah, that must be why it's so popular then.
Because Hollywood is a lazy place.
That's business for ya.
Interesting...should help in the fight against ignorance.
Edit: He doesn't say he's a gamer, this much is true. But the fact that he allows his children to play them is significant. When surrounded by those who are lobbying against, not just violent video games but, video games in general, it's refreshing to hear that he does not stop them.
Tell me about it...I really don't understand why they think it's profitable these days. DOA bombed as did Legend of Chun Li and Dragonball (I believe).
The free marketplace of ideas...it's simple. If you have the economic means to enter the market, then you should do so. Man is rational; therefore man can decide the difference in quality. Therefore, the true and the sound will succeed and the unsound and false will be vanquished. It happens.
Hiphopgamer is a good example of someone hitting the headlines and then falling away because he's unsound. People aren't stupid. Journalism's tactics have always been the same and 'Citizen J...
Well, one of the comments to the article left this link: http://mmocker.com/2009/07/...
It's a small poll, but it has Copernicus ahead of The Old Republic.
Rich Gallup, eh? Nice. =)
If he gets in shape, he could easily pull it off. Look at Sly...
But you are right. If it's a success, then it'll spawn sequels. And by the time a second one rolls about, he'll be pushing 60. Still, Sly is a good example...Rambo V is apparently on the way.
Runescape is indeed free and was an old haunting ground when I was 16 or so. Spent a good few years on it, got a high level and still have a few rare items still kicking about last I checked - lol. But I also paid for membership, which gives you the full experience.
I think The Rock is talented...he just needs the right project to show that side. Gears of War is not that project. Mickey Rourke is surely the perfect choice.
Well, he came up with the initial concept and is the driving force behind it! He is the chairman and founder, while also working at ground level. He's definitely putting his heart into it at a big risk. But they are generating revenue...
Yeah, no proof is hurting it I think. But I reckon he might be scared by the critical backlash. Look at great examples in the past of games held from the public light and much hyped only to bomb (e.g. Romero & Daikatana). It's a risk. But it could also be something special...
She's got both the look and the looks for the role. ;)
The news story isn't ten pages long, but the links are...retro gamers often have a lot to say. Has anyone else noticed that?
Still, quite an amazing find.
It does look good. Just Cause 2 looks a lot more competent than its predecessor and I dunno how many times I replayed the Mini Ninjas trailer - awesome! Even Championship Manager looks like it is getting back in-form. But only Batman really has the potential to sell by the bucketloads. Without Lara, they're gonna have 'no dinner' by the end of the year methinks.
True, but at least his comments are fairly positive in regards to the quality of these big-budget games. As seen with the Damnation developers, poor quality in a new IP cannot be tolerated.
Giving it a listen right now. Is sounding good. Interesting and topical!
It could work if based on GTA IV. It's cinematic and has a good story to it. Has anyone seen Behind Enemy Lines? The guy in that looks exactly like Nico, haha. Would be a great casting choice:
