I really didn't think I had to spell it out, but my saying "overclocked Gamecube" was sarcasm. My point was simply that the Wii, aside from the controls and the feeble attempt at online, isn't too far different from the GameCube, which no one can argue.

This is the Gamer Zone, but you do have to call a spade a spade. Now, I like the Wii, and I respect the direction that Ninty is going with this, but let's be serious. The Wii is simply an overclocked GameCube with a different controller (actually, about 4 or 5 different controllers) and a really bizarre online setup.
Which is fine, because to a casual gamer, graphics don't really matter that much. My only fear is that it may just be a fad, like Beanie Babies or Tickle-Me-Elmos...
This is just stupid. The Wii, for some reason totally beyond my understanding, is selling like hotcakes . . . covered in crack. Nintendo is actually making money from the console sales, which no one else can claim. So why the hell would they want to drop the price?

That's why I picked the PS3 over the 360 (well, one of the main reasons). Everyone I've talked to around the time I was going to buy a new console told me that the the 360 gave you more choices, but the more I looked into it, the more I discovered that they simply gave you the illusion of choice, whereas the PS3 actually provided options. They didn't force me to have to buy Sony products in order to further my PS3 experience.

I have to say, I really like this. I'm really hyped about the Gamer Zone . . . with all the fanboy ish going on, some people forget that we're all gamers.

Honestly, what more do I have to say? Well, I will say that you can find them cheaper.
I'd really like to see that happen, but I'm not holding my breath.
But again, if it does . . . very exciting times. Even if they just added more people to the beta . . . Hell, I'd do it . . . that'd be okay for me.
