NPD only covers American hardware / software sales. Maybe when you stop believing that America is the only country in the world this will all become easier for you to understand.
More people own 360's = More software will be purchased for that platform. Or so I thought until EA and Ubisoft reported otherwise.

Lol anybody with even half a brain or any gaming knowledge knows that the only franchises Microsoft are known for are Halo and Gears. Sony has so many that even if I tried to list them all I know I'll be missing some.
Sony wasn't doing the "Only on PlayStation" tags back in June so for ScrawlFX to say that this is just like the MGS4 boxart is bullsh*t. If I remember correctly, the first game that had the tag was SOCOM: Confrontation and that was released in October.
In short, it wasn't until recently that Sony started adding the exclusivity tags on their games.
Exactly. 360 fanatics (for some reason) get a hard-on whenever they read that an American product is selling better in America of all places (NPD = American numbers ONLY) but what about everywhere else in the world? Is America the only country now? Apparently not, seeing how publishers are making more money from the PS3.
EA and Ubisoft have also reported that they're making more money from the PS3 but how? Microsoft lying about their total hardware sales again, I guess. That or every refurbished Xbox 360 that goes out whenever they need to repair the RROD counts as sold to retailers (or consumers).

Wtf? Gears of War 2 was released last month. They just don't want to admit that it's a lot worse than it seems. Halo 3 is a better game and so is Call of Duty 4. Gears 2 = More Unreal Engine 3 garbage. The first did well because there was nothing else available on the Xbox 360 at the time.
