Batman Arkham Rises ideas.

So as many of you know Rocksteady's highly anticipated sequel and possible final chapter of the Arkham series was pushed to 2015 instead of releasing the intended date of 2014. Now when I heard Arkham Knight was going to be in 2014 I thought the series was pulling an AC on us and going yearly but it got pushed possibly due to hardware.

This led me to think that maybe after Arkham Knight the series will go yearly which I would like to state as of right now I am not for, I do not support the annualization of games but this is a what if blog though. Anyway so point I'm coming across is that the Batman Arkham series is a hot IP for WB Games and they ain't letting it go away just yet so we might see a sequel to Arkham Origins following Arkham Knight.

As this thought started coursing through me I started to wonder what can they do with an Arkham Origins sequel and here is what I came up with, Batman Arkham Rises. It would take place a year or two after Origins, Batman has gone from an urban myth to the most sought after man in Gotham.

The police want him behind bars because he is both taking the law into his hands while also hot on the heels of crooked cops, the media trying to discover both who he is and whether he is a silent guardian or a monster that lurks in the shadows. The plot would center round Batman coming into the light (so to speak) and becoming The Dark Knight while forces that hide in shadows plot to burn the city to ashes to cleanse it.

So pretty much Ra's Al Ghul and his league of assassins and the story would focus on Batman discovering their plans and trying to stop them with the help of Gordon who has become his silent partner in the Gotham P.D. All the while the people of Gotham see more of the Batman and soon come to realize Batman is on their side trying to protect them from the scum who seeks to keep it in ruins.

This would all eventually lead to a major all out war between Batman and his allies possibly including Robin & Batgirl against Ras and his army along with some super criminals.

It would end on all of Gotham and the world seeing Batman's efforts in keeping the city safe which catches the eye of a certain woman which would lead into the third game of the prequel trilogy, Batman Arkham Ascension.

By this game Batman is now known almost to a global scale and while many see him as a hero a certain few don't, and by that I mean Amanda Waller, seeing the tech that Batman has she fears someone like him who works above the law as a risk to national security. In hopes of making sure The Batman never tries to use his tech against the US government she enlists on the Suicide Squad which after 2 games worth of build up finally show up.

This would be his biggest personal battle in that in revealing himself to the world he has made himself public enemy number 1 in the eyes of the government and now he has the fight of his life. Not only that but Joker uses this opportunity to stage in all out gang war against the other super criminals in a bid to control all of Gotham while Batman deals with the Suicide Squad.

Now I'm sure the Arkham series will extend even further than these 2 possible suggestions for future games but I'm more interested in seeing Batman's story come full circle from myth to legend. What do you guys think, would you like to see what I'm talking about get made? Also forgot to add at Arkham Ascension The Killing Joke happens, so Batgirl get's shot.
