When I first heard that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was going on sale for Xbox Live Gold members for 800 MS Points, I nearly fell down due to the excitement. After my account was restored to former glory and my Microsoft points returned, I purchased it right away and after a quick 10 minute download, I started to go through an overwhelming feeling of nostalgia.
Despite the ghetto-gangster background of the game, it's definitely one of my favourites. It's addictive, hilarious, gripping, and thrilling, and it's one of Rockstar's best publishes. For those who haven't played, the game is about a young man named Carl "CJ" Johnson who returns home after some time away from Los Santos, San Andreas when he learns of his mother's death in a violent gang shooting. Upon his return, Officer Tenpenny and his droogs who have it in for Carl and the Grove Street families (the family gang that Carl used to associate with) arrest him, steal his luggage and money, and drop him off in rival gang territory. Carl reunites with his friends and family and brings his gang back to its former glory in their hometown, and takes on the rest of the state in a quest to find truth and justice behind his mother's murder.
I found myself wandering around through the surrounding area after the first twenty minutes of gameplay - simply to reunite myself with a big piece of my past. I used to spend hours upon hours playing this game when I was a kid and it's great to give it another go, this time with the graphics slightly improved. The locations, the controls, the music, the gameplay, all reminiscent of my past, and I was loving it.
I also found myself cracking up at some of the commentary by pedestrians - so crude, so crass, so hilarious. This purchase was definitely one to be proud of.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
