365 Days of Gaming - Day 10: Midnight Club: Los Angeles

I've been a fan of the Midnight Club video games since the second instalment of the franchise, so it's no surprise that I went straight for Midnight Club: Los Angeles when it was released. I however quickly grew annoyed with it when I realized how San Andreas-esque it was in terms of the characters and their ghetto, gangster personalities. Four years after Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Rockstar Games seems to still be stuck in the ghetto when making a game. It's quite annoying for those who want a decent game.

I digress, the storyline is weak; a character coming from an unnamed city to make a name for himself in illegal street racing. Car customization, trash talking, narcissism, yeah, it's all there. But the game structure is redundant, weak, and obnoxious. I would stick to Need for Speed.

However, it can be fun at times and that makes the game overall enjoyable, but still relatively aggravating. I enjoy some of the races even though they're all incredibly redundant, and the vehicle customization is pretty immerse.

But despite my previous review, I'd give this game a miss.

This game was mostly enjoyable, put at at times grossly deplorable. The racing was fast and the characters had sass and at times this would serve as a pass. I say this because of racing thugs unjust and bugs that seemed to have just been brushed beneath the rug. When high speeds were peeked the textures would fester because the game couldn't muster the effort, but this just a conjecture. The game also gave me Rat is Dead by CSS, which is perfect when escaping the feds after causing a mess.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit56d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing56d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9256d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
