Turtle Beach recently started a "campaign" to crown the best game of all time. They've narrowed it down to the top 15 games that people have been pushing for. Here is that list:

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Pac Man
Resident Evil
Super Mario Galaxy

The Last of Us
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

Now, I shall give my assessment. This list is a joke. Even if I were to set aside my skepticism that one poll conducted by one company is an objective means to to definitively answer a highly subjective question, I'd still find this list downright hilarious. Not only does it reek of a company not wanting to offend anyone, and thus, ensuring they represent all the current main platforms, and all the major genres, but most of the games wouldn't have been anywhere near my list, and not one of them would top it.
Of course, I never was a fan of statistics as a method of social research, but I still can't wrap my head around this list. Call of Duty Ghosts is sure to be forgotten once a better Call of Duty game comes around. Dwarf Fortress? I guess it's good to see the tower defense genre represented here, but no RTS or MOBA games? Heck, Dwarf Fortress isn't the best in its genre, IMHO. FIFA 14? As if any sports game rests on its own merits, and even if they did, sports games are generally forgotten within a couple years. I hardly think they're worthy of shining the boots of games truly deserving of being on a list like this.
Final Fantasy X? I'm glad VII didn't make this list, but come on. There are better JRPGs out there, and even better Final Fantasy games. I also think Chrono Trigger mops the floor with Final Fantasy X. As much as I love Resident Evil for its cheesiness, 2 and 3 are vastly superior IMHO, and as much as I'd hate to admit it, Resident Evil 4 is far more deserving of being on this list. Super Mario Galaxy is pretty good IMHO, but it's no Super Mario World.
Skyrim made this list, but not Morrowind? I like The Last of Us, but I don't think it's nearly as great as it's made out to be by the gaming community. Wind Waker's in the list, while Ocarina of Time is absent?
Obviously, we were never meant to take this poll seriously. It's just one poll. And I highly doubt it even comes close to representing the general opinion of gamers, assuming something like that would even be possible with an obvious promotional stunt like this. To sum up my assessment, I'll say, feel free to buy Turtle Beach products, but don't take them seriously as social scientists.

The rest of those games share none of the qualities I would associate with a game that could be considered the best of all time.
It is a community driven competition which is then refined by the person running the website. What do you really expect. It isn't serious just a way (also thanks to you) to promote Turtle Beach as a product.
The list lost me at COD: Ghosts
As ridiculous as this list is including titles such as COD:Ghosts, it's just as ridiculous to refer to dwarf fortress as being in the tower defence genre. It's not even close and boasts an incredible amount of depth and difficulty to it.
This really does seem like a list of games that came out recently more so than a list of titles deserving to be singled out as the best game ever made, and that's about it. The Last Of Us is the only title in the list deserving of being the best game ever made, and that's only because there are several groundbreaking titles released in the last 30 years that are incredibly absent from this poll.
FFX, Snake Eater, dwarf fortress and wind waker are definitely deserving to be on here though.
