I agree with you here. I honestly can't understand what they are doing. Fans say they want a number of different things, so they give them something no one wanted. Makes no sense. The longer they take to do what the fans want, the quicker they will lose fans.

I vote for a fish up side the head of the lead director.

Get the strong feeling this is only happening because the game is in his comfort zone. Its something he's worked on before, he somehow has pull inside Square after FFXIII and XIII-2, so he's working with what he knows.

That such is arguably not good, is raising vocal complaint and warnings of not buy any future Square games, is besides the point.

XII was great, but it's at least 5 years old now... Their thinking just seems sporadic. Why bring it back now? Are they clutching at straws at this stage?

All FF games after FF10 had bad or mediocre stories. hence FF12 is not a good FF game
