Now, what's the BEST game you've ever played?

Okay, so I've asked you what's the worst game that you've ever played. But now I ask you, what is the best game that you've ever played?

I've played a lot of good games, so it's very hard to decide which one is my favorite. Well, there's Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64), Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii) and Gran Turismo 4 (PS2, haven't played 5 yet). But I would have to say I'm at a 3-way tie between Mario 3 (NES), Castlevania:Symphony of The Night (PS1), and Final Fantasy VIII (PS1). Mario 3 had excellent graphics, great music, more power-ups than probably any other Mario game to-date, and is one of the few NES games I still own. And Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (the image on the right) was one of longest, most challenging, and most suprising game I've ever played. Just when you had played 25+ hours and thought that you had finally gotten through Dracula's castle, the whole thing flipped (If you did things right), And you realize "Holy crap, I'm only halfway done!!!" Which was okay, because the game was so undeniably great and fun that you didn't care. And even though it was 2D, it was probably a good thing that it was. And do I even have to say why FFVIII is my favorite? Looked great, sounded great, and it had a whole new concept of battle with it. You didn't even use MP to cast spells, and you could equip magic to your stats to make them higher. And to top it off, the game was so huge, they needed 4 discs for it!!

But this is just my opinion. What's your favorite game or games? Like before, it can be any game on any system.

I'm ashamed to admit it....but my all-time favorite game is Pokemon Red / Blue.

I played those games for *hundreds* of hours.

TheDeadMetalhead6568d ago

I mean, that game was THE Pokemon game! It was the best GB game hands-down (Gold, Silver, and Crystal had more pokemon, but suffered a MASSIVE difficulty decrease, and was much shorter than its predecessor) :)

LinuxGuru6568d ago

Ok, fine...I'm not ashamed at all.

If I can find my old 1989 GameBoy, I'll give pokemon another run-through =)

i use to play pokemon until my brain hurt haha...red/blue...1 of the best games easy....

Final Fantasy III (or Final Fantasy VI in Japan) for Super Nintendo will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Blue Legend6568d ago (Edited 6568d ago )

Hard to choose... so.. heres a list.

SNES- Mega Man X3
GEN- Sonic 3 & Knuckles
PS1- Valkyrie Profile
SAT- Panzer Dragoon Saga
N64- Sin & Punishment
DC- Jet Grind Radio
PS2- Xenosaga
XBOX- Panzer Dragoon Orta
GC- Star Fox Assult
PC- Jazz Jackrabbit 2

Thats the games that held the most replay value for me, I won't go into newer games, simply because you can't play a game a short time and call it the greatest game ever.

If I was to pick one though, I'd have to go with Jet Grind Radio. I still pick that up now and then, (more than the others) put on the stereo and crank it.

(oh, Metalhead, you might want to try Castlevania: Noctourne in the Moonlight, it was the Saturn version of Symphony of the Night.)

I think i've played more hours on CounterStrike Source than any other game so i guess that would be my favourite game ever

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing15d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit15d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing15d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9215d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
