When I think of gaming as a kid in the late eighties a rush of nostalgia rushes over me. The beginning of great franchises, some we still play to this day. Going from arcade games were the main goal was to score as many points as possible, to games with story lines and endings and using a directional pad for the first time.
With that said the rush of goodness is always accompanied by some frustration and anger. In this day we have access too thousands of sources for any kind of news on any game out there, but back then it was a lot harder to find useful information to base our buying decisions.
So this led to a lot of buying based on what seemed cool, it really was like a box of chocolate as what looked good on the outside often lead to a disgusting center.
Now to the point of this, what I believe to be the worst video game developers in the history of the industry. LJN.
I can still remember the first time I bought one their games like it was yesterday. I had a big test coming up so my father told me if I did well on it he would give me the money so I could go buy a new game for myself.
That was all the motivation I needed. So I studied harder than ever and aced the test.
So that weekend with cash in hand I walked into my local video game and card shop two hippies owned. (it always had a weird smell I could not put my finger on) So I start looking through the NES section and I pick up a game but the box art looked really bad then I noticed X-men out of the corner of my eye. Wow I thought to myself, I love the X-men I have to buy that.
So I drop the game I am holding like a hot potato and buy the X-men game, on my way home all I imagined was ripping up bad guys with wolverines claws. When I finally get home slide it into the system and start it up I am met with a wolverine that was terribly ineffective at killing anything, a forced A.I. partner that usually ended getting stuck on the environment making it impossible to move foreword.
Being a kid that life had not beaten down I was determined to stay positive, but the more I played the more frustrated I got till I eventually just gave up and went outside to play.
Sadly this would not be the last time I and many other children would be suckered by that company and there terrible licensed games.
That game I dropped, Master Blaster.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
