10 Things To Do While Gaming

It's a Saturday night. Your mates can't come out, you have no plans, don't need to get up early the next day - and your console is feelin' the itch for an all-night long gaming spree! Here's a list of things that can help spice up that nerd-a-thon night you hold so dear (lol)!!

10. Nerd Rage.
So, you're on MW2, and it's the 15th time you've been spawn-noobed by that annoying one-man army noob tuber. What do you do? Well, you can either take it like a bitch, or you can grab your controller, find him on "players met", and write him a novel about where you suggest he could shove his mother's genitals. Or for a more direct approach, sling on your headset and pretend you're talking to Hitler. WARNING: Not recommended for any of you 7-year old high pitched kids noobing up MW2, you'll just get laughed at ;)

9. Get the posse.
Oh Yeah. Red Dead now, and you've got an eight-man posse. Time to bring in the shit. Just running around with all your mates, wrecking havoc on anything that moves, its a good laugh. If you've never done this, you're missing out on the most epic thing someone can do that doesn't include a sandwich and a badly-placed melon.

8. Try and start the biggest text chat EVER.
It gets way outta hand fast, if you've got the right friends list. Fun as hell though. It's like having a nerd party :D

7. Be Annoying.
How many times have you went into a lobby, and heard one of those Justin Bieber sound-alikes screeching along to some gay-ass pop song? Ever wanted revenge? Crank your stereo up to full volume, and sing along to the most irritating song EVER - that's right, "I will always love you". Badly. See how fast you can clear out the lobby xD

6. Use Karma to your Advantage.
For an example, let's say you're playing Nazi Zombies, and one of those REALLY annoying douchebags comes up to your window and starts picking off your kills from over your shoulder. Instead of rage-quitting like a fag, keep playing: but don't. Whenever you can, do your best to get in the way of that bastard - turn on the electric fence when he comes by, block doorways, don't open doors for him, don't cover him or revive him - be a total dick to him, and the balance of power is restored with your dignity as HE rage-quits and ends the game... :D

5. Be Social.
You know, there are actually not that many social gamers out there today. Sure, screaming at your team mates of friends over the mic is being social, but are you really getting to know them? If you play games like LBP, Playstation Home or any other text-chat/socially co-operative game, you'll sometimes make some good friends: my friend list is actually only filled with people I consider friends, some I haven't even met, and we get along great - we have lots of stories about how we met, what game, etc.
WARNING: If you're a kid, maybe meeting friends on the internet isn't such a good ide- wait, never mind: take the candy from the strange man in the car, hell if I care :P

4. Be Social 2.
Again, but with more "Social". Having a friend, or family member in the same room with you is good enough, but if the person is sharing your experience - it's a LOT more fun!!! Splitscreen/turn based multiplayer games are awesome, it feels more competitive because you're actually playing people in the room! I can't tell you how epic it was when we and my mates used to play Worms 4, wrecking havoc on each other!!

3. Total Immersion.
For me, this game is Fallout 3: mainly RPGs have this quality, but if you play a game for long enough, with headphones to add to the experience, and you feel as if you are IN the game, the character's life is your life. Of course, it makes time and the right mood to get into it, but after that, you're hooked until you absolutely HAVE to turn it off, it can get too addicting, but worth it xD

2. Be hydrated.
Yeah, yeah, laugh all you want: Water is a gamesaver. Run a little test for me: play a game that has a part you are struggling at, and play for a while. Done? Ok, now go to your fridge and pick up a bottle of mineral water, any flavour will do. Back? Ok, have a drink break and then play the part you're stuck at. Oh, you completed it? How ironic :P
Maybe it's just me, but water seems to REALLY help me out when I'm in a pinch lol - for the most extreme moment of your entire life, eat something very sugary, drink some red bull and op it off with a LOT of water. WARNING: You will die of the resulting awesomeness.

1. A Gamer's Feast
Well, think it out - if you have time to game, then you probably like food, known fact. Make youself your favourite dinner, then after buy yourself your favourite big bag of potato chips, your favourite drink x10, and a little something to snack on between games. I've never done this, but eating always makes me a happy gamer ^^
If you do this, I'm pretty sure you'll have to check your pants for evidence of fun afterwards 0.o

...And yes - that picture on this blog is just to attract attention... Looks like it worked if you're reading this :D
So tell me guys, what is your favourite thing to do when in the heat of battle?

I lol'd at 7, I've done it a few times before (not particularly playing music but just being an ass on my mic) when people are being irritating for the sake of it.

I agree with 8 too, text chats actually can be pretty fun at times if you've got a group of friends on, especially when you're playing a game at the same time because some replies can just crack you up and it keeps you entertained.

This is shocking I hope it isnt true

I did see this this come up as a rumor, but until stated otherwise I guess take it with a grain of salt.

If true I think it is clearly a bug. The whole point of having a primary account is that it automatically resyncs lice ses when connected to the Internet on that device. Having to make Sally log in every 30 days makes no sense.
