It seems that these upcoming months will be flooded with great games on every side. As a gamer this really makes me want to have all three next gen consoles.
I don't know about you, but i just want to have fun playing games. I don't hate any side, and want to enjoy the fruits of every console.
I guess I'm a rare breed. It seems to me, after posting on G4tv.com and N4g.com, that people are so brand oriented, that they cant see past their own console. Those people are really the most unhappy ones, and always come across as the angriest. Now granted some people wont be able to afford two or even one next gen console, but the hate is useless. It's counter-intuitive.
One other thing i have seen is,(and I'm partially guilty of this) trying hard to prove another person wrong, and going beyond leaps and bounds to do so. Really i wonder, is it because it makes them feel better about what they bought? Or are they just very competitive people.
And I'm not talking about people who simply have a preference for a certain genre or brand, but the ones that put everything else down that they don't like.
All i know is by 2008, i hope to have all the next gen consoles. So far the 360 has held me well. But i need the other Two as well.
Isn't this what gaming is all about? Having fun. It seems that people seem to have made it into an "I'm cooler than you thing", and i think thats wrong. But hey, thats just me.
I just wonder a lot of times why people hate so much. But then again I'm weird like that.

I agree with you. And sometimes I wish I didn't feel the need to defend my investment. It's absolutely ridiculous that one would log on N4G to read some articles related to a console they enjoy and read comments of irrational hate like a lot of PS3 owners do. And I'm sure it's the same vice versa. And I wish I didn't want to reply in hate to their comments as well. We should all just enjoy the games. Let these big companies compete with each other to win our game time. We're all winners in that case.
Snoop, I think, you are a rare breed on N4G. I too would love to own every console but its just not practical for everyone (not even for the majority). I am a fan of games, the games on PlayStation family of products. I am glad there are poeple like yourself on N4G who have love for all consoles :)
I also hope to have all 3 consoles by 2008, great post.
