A 8.0?? So What??

Recently a Nintendo Power review (a real one) said that the game is a 8.0. Most of you have said that because Nintendo Power only reviews Nintendo games that on other review sites and magazines, it will get worse scores. Well F*** that!! Here is what I am saying.

1. Nintendo games can be the same quality as PS3 and 360 games. So you shouldn't judge magazines that play 360 and PS3 games to give this game a lower score.

2. Nintendo Power gives similar scores to other magazines. In fact, Nintendo Power has gave lower scores to AAA games. GT gave Super Mario Galaxy a 9.8. Nintendo Power gave it a 9.5. Who knows?? Maybe it will be the same for The Conduit.

3. 8 is a good score. Most good games like "The Darkness", "Eye of Judgement", "Mirror's Edge", and "Riddick: Dark Athena" are all lower 8s.

4. If you are still skeptical, play the game and do a user review. All of you.

...just don't be so weak-minded that you allow other people to think for you. If it's a ten for you, then it's a ten; and if you are concerned, try before you buy... but do buy if you like it, if you can.

The Conduit to me will be at least a nine... a ten if the story is as smart as I think it will be.

is the most generic shooter ever. maybe it isnt generec for wii, but it is for the rest of the world.

II Necroplasm II6174d ago

I won't buy games that average under an 8.

ZuperAmazingCooKie6171d ago

No, rather, I HOPE you're not being serious.

I actually loved "Enter the matrix" and for some reason people take as gospel the saying "Enter the matrix sucked", because professional reviewers think so highly of themselves that they'll be damned if they don't play something as innovative as LBP or as supposedly action packed as Gears of War.

Shnazzyone6174d ago

The game makers still worked hard for a graphicly capable shooter on wii. It deserves some play and i'll give it. Expect a review from me at some point here. Well see how my opinion compares to NPs but If it's better then World At War for wii then I will be a very happy. If that multiplaye4r is solid then i got what I payed for. The single player experience is just an extra bit of goodness for enjoyment. Watch.. even with an 8 from NP and averagiong between 9 and 8 from the other publications and reviewers it will still outsell Killzone 2 by 100's of thousands. If not... I'll still be having fun!

Leafs1176174d ago

it will outsell killzone 2 for sure, but that seems to be a trend for the wii...the crappy games on the wii outsell the masterpieces on the 360 and PS3

SinnedNogara6173d ago

Whoa, your back!?!?

Anyway, it will definently outsell KZ2. And I believe it well sell slowly but still sell a million by October.

Whether it sells 100,000 or 1 million, it will be awesome.

Snake Raiser6174d ago

Its actually refreshing to have a Nintendo fan on the site. But your point about N Power sometimes giving lower review scores than other publications is kind of a meh point. I can see the scores varying by .5 or so, but this is not going to be a 9/10 game or a 10/10 game. Your overall point is sound though, even if a game is 8/10 that doesn't make it a "flop" or a bad game. I have enjoyed many games that have had lower scores. Hope you like the game.

Capcom Says Pragmata Sold 1 Million Copies in 2 Days

Pragmata has sold 1 million copies in two days, Capcom has announced.

Capcom is the best developer of all time. Consistent hit over many years .

DivineHand1253h ago

I didn't know it came out last Friday, or I would have bought the game. I will try again for this upcoming weekend.

CrimsonWing693h ago

Im really digging it. It reminds me of games from the PS2 era, not visually or how it plays, but like the spirit of it. If you were around for that golden age of gaming, you’ll get what I mean when you play this.

LucasRuinedChildhood2h ago

Have you tried Kanitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess (also Capcom)? That feels like a PS2-era Capcom game.

The_Hooligan2h ago

Agreed! The art style is amazing in that game. I bought it immediately after I played the demo but haven't started it lol

The next thing I'm mine when I've had my fill of crimson desert. A nice linear action game to contrast the open ended 😗👌

solideagle, maybe the article is wrong but it mentions BG3 as the other.

CrimsonWing693h ago

It’s good, but I’m getting tired of seeing how overrated it’s getting.

andy852h ago

It just wasn't for you in that way i guess. Can't really argue with it when it wins all the awards and it's the highest rating by players of all time

1nsomniac1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

I thought this game was a load of rubbish. Trying too hard to be art(sy) by people who don’t really understand art but want to make it look like they do. Found it obvious and shallow and just not a fun game. Just seemed like every relentless second they were clutching at trying to feed this superior narrative… the irony being that’s kind of what I’m doing now… maybe that’s art imitating art….

dveio1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

Didn't know the Golden Joystick fan votum was considered one of the "major awards"?

I always thought it's "only" the Big Four - VGA, Bafta, GDC and DICE.

Nonetheless, congrats to Clair Obscur!
