Is a patch in the works?

The Orange box for the PS3 is without a doubt the inferior port of this great game. Maybe Gabe Newels disinterest in the platform lead to this fact or it may be EA's fault. The fact of the matter is PS3 owners got the shaft. I have search all over the web trying to figure out if I should add this game onto my growing library of PS3 games this holiday season. But I don't think I will (insert sad face here).

Consoles in this generation (be it the 360 or PS3) have the ability to patch games as necessary. But after searching around the web countless times, there's no mention of any said patch coming to the PS3's orange box. But I did run into several forums post asking the same question "will there be a patch?"
Gamers that are interested in getting the game but were hoping a patch would alleviate most of it's shortcomings before purchasing.

Does Valve or EA know this? By the looks of things, a simple patch may have the ability to generate them a lot more in sales. Yet there they sit sucking on there toes! It's a shame, as I will have to scratch this game off my list.

Personally I think this game is amazing so whether they patch it or not really doesnt matter to me, its still one of te best games of 2007.........period!

I went ahead and purchased the game (I couldn't resist). And I have to admit, the problems aren't as severe as they have been stating. Maybe it's due to my hard drive (120GB 8MB cache) that's made things a lot better. Or maybe it's just that they have exaggerated the condition of this game all along. But I have to agree I've been having a BLAST!

WiZmans World Re;Try review - ChristCenteredGamer

CCG writes - "WiZmans World Re;Try has some really interesting things going for it, and some cool mechanics and visuals that few other JRPGs do. It is clear some real care and effort went into this game. However, between the sheer amount of inevitable, unavoidable grinding; the lack of depth to most of the combat; the just-okay music and sound effects; and the moral issues that really make me question how this game got away with an E10+ rating, it's difficult for me to recommend. This is definitely a "play with a podcast or Netflix binge-session on in the background" type of game, even if you are in love with the things that make this one stand out. If that's your cup of tea, then WiZman's World Re;Try will provide 35+ hours of it for a relatively reasonable cost."
